On November 10, 2025, at approximately 1419 hours, I, Deputy Harrison, responded to Kroger, located at 1720 Epps Bridge Parkway, in reference to a subject yelling and using profanity due to the Sheriff’s Office not accepting her ride request.
I arrived at the scene and made contact with an employee who pointed out the female, who was later identified as Carrie Jones. I asked Ms. Jones why she was yelling, and she began talking about having anxiety.
Ms. Jones was briefly detained while Sergeant Pulliam #3431 gathered more information on what was going on. I placed Ms. Jones into handcuffs and asked if she had any weapons on her. Ms. Jones granted consent for me to search her person. I placed Ms. Jones in the rear seat of my patrol car. At this time I spoke with Sergeant Pulliam #3431 who advised to go ahead and transport Ms. Jones to the jail.
Sergeant Pulliam #3431 advised witnesses stated that Ms. Jones went to money services located inside Kroger and stated she needed help. One of the witnesses called 911 and gave Ms. Jones the phone. Ms. Jones was notified by Oconee County Dispatch that we would not be giving her a ride. Ms. Jones then began yelling at everyone due to not receiving a ride. The other witness who was the Manager heard this and came up to the front of the store.
While upset both of the witnesses heard Ms. Jones use the word “F*ck” multiple times. Due to this being a common place for children under the age of 14, Ms. Jones was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct.
