On 01/24/2026 around 1841 hours I Lt. Higginbotham responded to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Hospital in reference to a domestic dispute that occurred on Branch Farm Point. Hospital staff had advised that the female victim had a broken right arm that occurred during a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival I made contact with the victim and her three sons, the youngest and second victim of the domestic was 17 YO. The victim advised that she, her husband (suspect) and her three sons had sat down at their family table to have a discussion about one of the sons buying a vehicle. The victim advised her husband had been angry this date due to her son using their grandparents to help facilitate the purchasing of a vehicle. The suspect, John Rosich, became angry that he had not been told about where his son had gotten the money and an argument occurred at the dealership, prior to the domestic at the residence.

I then spoke to the oldest son who advised that while at the dealership his father found out that the money he had for the vehicle came from the grandparents and began yelling at him. The oldest son advised that they separated at the dealership and nothing physical and no threats occurred there. The oldest son stated that John then took him home and went back to his own home where another argument occurred. The 17 YO juvenile son advised that his father came home and was very upset and angry about where the money came from and that he had not been told.

The 17 YO son advised the argument between his parents had gone on for multiple hours and his father was not calming down, so he called his oldest brother. The 17 YO asked the oldest brother to come to the house and help him calm his father down. The oldest son and the middle son drove to their parents house where they asked to have a family meeting about why John was upset. The sons stated that all five of them sat down at the family table and began the discussion.

According to the sons statements John told them that he felt lied to and disrespected because they did not tell him where the money came from. The sons advised they did not want to tell him because they knew he would get upset and were trying to prevent any issues. The 17 YO spoke up in the discussion and advised his father of how things were going to change going forward due to Johns constant anger issues.

According to the sons the father then told the 17 YO that if he ever spoke to him like that again he would beat his a*s into next week. John then asked the 17 YO if he understood and the 17 YO responded by saying that he did not understand. The sons stated that John became extremely irate and picked up the heavy family table and pushed it toward the 17 YO. The 17 YO stated that he put his arms up to stop the table but was pushed back with the table on his chest into the wall. The 17 YO stated that he was scared when this occurred because he thought he would be pinned against the wall.

While this was happening the victim/mother attempted to keep the table off her son by pushing against it. From speaking to the victim she stated she reacted to protect her son from John and the table. The victim tried to stop the tables movement and get between him and the table. The victim stated the event was a blur, and she just knew that she ended up on the ground and noticed her right forearm was broken.

The middle son and the oldest son stated that while John was pushing the table and trying to flip it over they reacted to protect their mother and brother and tackled John to the ground. The two sons restrained their father and told him to stop. A fight occurred on the ground where John was punched in the face while the two sons attempted to get John to stop and calm down. While that was happening the oldest son stated his mother said that her arm was broken and that John needed to leave the house. The oldest son stated that John got up off the ground, grabbed his bag and left the house. At that point the sons loaded their mother into a vehicle and drove her to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to receive treatment for the broken arm.

While on scene I was able to confirm that both bones in the forearm were broken and that the victim was going to have surgery to fix the damage. While on scene medical staff had to set the bones of the arm in order to apply a cast. This resulted in a large amount of pain and screaming from the victim. While the sons did not see the arm being set into place they were able to hear their mothers screams coming from the room while doctors set and applied the cast.

I then spoke to John by phone who stated that he was not at home but at a friends house. John stated that he had become angry because his sons had lied to him about where the money for the vehicle had come from. He confirmed that a meeting had happened at the family table where he became angry at how his sons were talking to him. John stated he became angry and picked up the heavy family table and flipped it over. When questioned John stated that at some point while he was flipping the table over his wife/victims arm was broken.

John stated that he was not really sure how the arm was broken but confirmed that after the table was picked up and flipped the victim was found on the ground with a broken arm. John stated that the family table is high and the chairs they were sitting in are taller than normal. John stated that his wife may have broken her arm when she fell from her chair when he flipped the table over. John stated that his two sons then tackled him to the ground where he was pushed in the face and restrained. John was then let go and left the house and drove to his friends house.

The actions of the sons were reasonable giving the nature of the incident. They acted to protect their mother and brother from their fathers violent actions.

While at the hospital I was able to view the victims broken arm. There appeared to be an indention in the arm and a spot where the skin was broken from an impact. It appeared the forearm was stuck by the table when it flipped causing the arm to break. A picture of the broken arm was taken and attached to this report.

Due to the physical evidence and statements from all involved parties John was arrested for Aggravated Battery (FV) due to the victims arm being broken and Simple Battery (FV) for hitting/pushing his 17 YO son with the table. John was taken into custody at the Oconee County Sheriffs Office where he was turned over to jail staff. Warrants where signed, and the family was notified the following day of his arrest.
