On this date I responded to Macon Hwy in reference to a report of battery.
Upon arrival, I met with the victim that stated her niece came onto her property without consent to fill up water jug because her water wasn’t working. The child of the niece had texted the victim earlier to ask about getting water, and she stated responded -no she didn’t want anyone coming on the property.
Later the niece, identified as Julia Bishop, came onto the property and began filling up a water jug. The victim confronted Julia and reached to turn the faucet off. At that time Julia stood up and knocked the victim to the ground and then took a filled water jug and threw it at the victim. The victim had deep lacerations to her arm from being knocked down.
I spoke with Julia and she stated that there was an argument, but there was no altercation. Julia was placed under arrest for battery on an elderly person and criminal trespass. She was transported to the Oconee County Jail for booking without incident.
