On Saturday, May 9, 2026, I stopped a silver in color Honda CR-V, after the driver made a left turn from Macon Hwy onto Old Macon Hwy, and traveled into oncoming turn lane. I activated my emergency equipment and stopped the vehicle as it turned into Athens Ridge. I walked up to the driver’s side window and had to knock on the window to get the driver’s attention.

The driver let the window down, and I could smell the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. I noticed that the driver’s eyes were glassy and red, and she had a dazed look. I asked her for her driver’s license, and she provided a Georgia Driver’s License, and was identified as Sasha Xzarvia London. I asked London to step to the rear of the vehicle, and she complied.

Once at she was at the rear of the vehicle, I could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath, and person. I asked her how much had she had to drink, and she stated that she had two shots about two hours ago. I asked London if she would perform field sobriety tests, and she stated yes. The first given was Horizontal Gaze and Nystagmus. I instructed London to place her hands to her side with her feet together.

I instructed her to follow the tip of my finger with her eyes, and to not turn her head. I asked her if she understood, and she stated yes. London’s eyes tracked equally, but displayed lack of smooth pursuit in both eyes. London’s eyes displayed distinct and sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation. Her eyes also displayed onset in both eyes prior to 45 degrees.

The next test given was the Walk and Turn. I instructed London to place her hands to her side with her feet together. I then instructed that I was going to place her in a stance that I wanted her to stand in and once she was in the stance, I did not want her to step out of the stance or start the test before being told to do so. I asked London if she understood, and she stated yes.

I gave instructions while demonstrating the test and while doing so, London stepped out of the stance. I then placed her back in the stance and gave her instructions to not start or step out of the stance. I asked London again if she understood, and she stated yes. I demonstrated the test again while giving instructions and asked London if she understood. She began to ask questions as she stepped out of the stance again. I placed her back in the stance and upon her request I demonstrated the test again and gave instructions again. Once I was done, I asked her if she understood and she stated yes.

I told her to begin the test, and she did. During the test, she did not count out loud, she did not look down at her feet, she did not touch heel to toe on any steps, and she did not turn as shown. She lost her balance on the return nine steps and had to stop the test and then continue it after she gained her balance again.

The last test given was the One Leg Stand. I instructed London to place her hands to her side, with her feet together. I instructed her to watch me as I demonstrated the test and to not start the test until being told to do so. I asked her if she understood, and she stated yes. I told London to begin the test, and she did. London raised her foot more than six inches off the ground to the point her foot was above the hood of my patrol car. She did not point her toes out or count as instructed. She was laughing during the test.

I then asked London if she would blow into an alco-sensor, and she agreed. The alco-sensor showed positive for alcohol. London was then placed under arrest for driving under the influence and was handcuffed to the rear with handcuffs double locked. I then read her the Georgia Implied Consent Notice for Suspects 21 and Older. I designated the State Blood Test, and she stated yes. London was then placed in the rear of my patrol car for transport to St. Mary’s Hospital. London’s vehicle was left in a parking space and her passengers called for a Lift or Uber.

I then transported London to St. Mary’s Hospital where the State Blood Test was completed, and then she was transported to the Oconee County Jail. Upon arrival at the jail, London was turned over to the jail staff along with citations for driving on the wrong side of the road and DUI.

The GBI Blood/Urine Kit was logged and then secured in Evidence Locker 5.
