[NARRATIVE #1 on January 02, 2026]

On January 2, 2026, I, Deputy Rainwater, responded to a call for service initially reported as a disorderly person at J&M Car Wash and Storage, located in Watkinsville, Georgia. Upon arrival, I observed two adult males standing near the entrance of the business attempting to post a sign. I made contact with both individuals, who advised they were the complainants and began explaining the events that occurred prior to my arrival.

The primary complainant, later identified as the victim, stated that a male subject-later identified as William Page-was on the property near the vacuum machines and appeared to be attempting to steal coins from the machines. The victim confronted Mr. Page regarding his actions and told him to leave the property. The victim stated Mr. Page cursed at him and refused to leave. The victim further stated he was eventually able to escort Mr. Page off the property toward Baddie’s Burgers, located in an adjacent parking lot.

The victim stated he returned to the property to continue working. Shortly thereafter, he observed Mr. Page walk in a large loop around a nearby building and re-enter the property from the rear near the storage units. The victim again went to confront Mr. Page and asked him to leave the property. A second adult male witness accompanied the victim to the rear of the property. Both the victim and the witness stated that during this confrontation, there was yelling between the parties.

The victim stated he continued to tell Mr. Page to get off his property. At some point, Mr. Page produced a Kobalt razor-blade knife from his pocket, opened it, held it near his shoulder, and pointed it toward them in a threatening manner. The victim stated that Mr. Page charged toward him with the knife out, and in defense of himself, the victim threw Mr. Page to the ground. Mr. Page remained on the ground briefly, then stood up and fled the property on foot.

The victim stated he observed Mr. Page walking toward Experiment Station Road and crossing the roadway toward the Clippers gas station. The victim provided a photograph of Mr. Page walking away, which I relayed to responding units along with a description of his clothing. In the image, Mr. Page was wearing a brown jacket, dark pants, and black shoes.

I requested additional units to assist in locating Mr. Page and remained on scene with the victim and witness to obtain further information. While both were completing written statements, the victim observed Mr. Page walking back down Experiment Station Road. Both the victim and the witness pointed him out and confirmed he was the same individual involved in the earlier incident, noting he was no longer wearing the brown jacket. I provided an updated clothing description to dispatch, advising that Mr. Page was now wearing a black shirt or sweatshirt, dark pants, and dark shoes.

Responding units quickly located and detained Mr. Page. Deputy Glenn transported the victim to conduct a show-up identification, during which the victim positively identified Mr. Page as the individual who had threatened him with a knife. Following the positive identification, Mr. Page was placed under arrest by Sergeant Ellis, handcuffed, and transported to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Jail for booking and processing. The victim and witness completed written statements. Both were advised that the investigation may continue and that they could be contacted by the Criminal Investigations Division for further follow-up. Warrants for Aggravated Assault were applied for and approved on the same date.

[NARRATIVE #2 on January 02, 2026]

On 01/02/[2026], I, Sgt Ellis, went to the area of Butlers Crossing to assist in the search with a male who pulled a knife on another male in an altercation. After searching the area for some time, all units were advised that the victim did not want to prosecute; they only wanted a trespass form completed.

A few moments later, Deputy Rainwater stated that the subject was walking down Experiment Station towards Watkinsville. I made contact with the male subject. I ordered him to keep his hands where I could see them; he complied. I asked the subject if he had any ID, and he stated that he did and asked to retrieve his wallet. The male provided me with his ID, which identified him as William Page. At the same time, I was running his information, Sgt. Ogan detained him and placed him in handcuffs. I patted him down for weapons, and none were found.

At this time Deputy Glenn stated that the victim did now want to pursue charges. Sgt Ogan then read him his Miranda Warning, he refused to talk to us. Page was then searched and placed in the back of my patrol vehicle. Page was removed from the vehicle so the victim could be driven by to give a positive ID. Deputy Glenn escorted the victim in her patrol vehicle, and he gave a positive ID. Page was placed back into my Patrol vehicle and transported to the Oconee County jail on the charge of Aggravated Assault.

[NARRATIVE #3 on January 03, 2026]

On January 3, 2026, Deputy Gentry and I conducted a follow-up investigation at Publix in an attempt to determine where Mr. Page had discarded the jacket and knife used in the incident. With assistance from Publix employees, we reviewed surveillance footage. The footage showed Mr. Page removing his jacket and placing it in the recycling bins near the entrance of Publix.

Mr. Page was then observed watching responding deputies in the parking lot before retrieving the jacket and placing it in nearby bushes close to the Clippers gas station. These described moments are attached to this report via photo. Deputy Gentry and I recovered the jacket from the bushes; however, the knife was not located. Inside the jacket were two receipts belonging to Mr. Page, which are documented in the attachments to this report. After determining the jacket had no further evidentiary value, it was returned to Mr. Page through jail staff.
