On 11/22/25 at approximately 1923 hours, I, Deputy James Foy # 398, did respond to [90 BLOCK] Boxelder Ct Dallas GA, 30132 reference to a domestic dispute / assault.

Upon my arrival, I met with both [WITNESS #1] (complainant) and Ashton Boyce (offender/grandson of victim) outside. Both parties advised that a disagreement had occurred with [VICTIM #1] (victim/grandfather of offender).

During that argument, Ashton had intentionally blocked passage from the kitchen to [VICTIM #1] as [VICTIM #1] was about to exit while carrying food with both hands. [VICTIM #1] used his forehead to nudge Ashton out of the way as he ([VICTIM #1]) was walking out of the small entrance/exit to the kitchen. This action caused Ashton to move out of the way as he was blocking it intentionally

Ashton came back to [VICTIM #1] a short time later and shoved his chest to the chest of [VICTIM #1] in a provoking manner while insulting him. The parties separated as [VICTIM #1] went downstairs to watch a football game on television with a beer as he had previously planned.

[REDACTED] advised that this is a constant issue as Ashton has lived with them since age 7. [REDACTED] has been going thru chemo therapy and [VICTIM #1] is her care giver and not Ashton as he alleged.

I then returned to both Ashton and [WITNESS #1] who were still outside. I confirmed with Ashton that the series of events had occurred as I had been advised. I arrested him on scene without incident with his hands cuffed behind his back. He was searched for contraband with negative results and then seatbelt in the rear prisoner compartment of my patrol car.

I transported Ashton to Paulding County Jail for booking/lodging. Upon my arrival, he was turned over to jail staff. A Criminal Arrest warrant will be applied for Ashton for the charge of Simple Battery Against A Person / Persons 65 Years Of Age Or Older OCGA 16-5-23(c).
