On November 2, 2025 at approximately 0723 hours, I, Deputy Moore, was dispatched to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office located at 180 Constitution Blvd. in reference to a dispute that had already occurred. Upon arrival, I made contact with the victim, identified as [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] stated the following: Her husband has been hospitalized for the past two weeks. Last night, after returning home from visiting him, she was lying in her bed when her son, Christopher Cole, became upset after reviewing the hospital payments. According to [VICTIM #1], the bill had increased from approximately $10 to around $600, which caused Christopher to become irate.
[VICTIM #1] stated that Christopher came upstairs to her bedroom and began a verbal altercation with her. During the argument, [VICTIM #1] admitted to calling Christopher a (“fa*got”), which appeared to further upset him. [VICTIM #1] stated that Christopher then pushed her to the floor.
[VICTIM #1] advised that she attempted to leave the residence by walking down the stairs to the garage. At that time, Christopher attempted to push her down the stairs but was unsuccessful. Christopher then followed [VICTIM #1] downstairs and pushed her into a wall.
Cpl. Capes #945 responded to the scene and took photographs of visible injuries on [VICTIM #1]. According to the photographs, [VICTIM #1] sustained bruising to her left thigh, left side of her stomach, inside of her right arm, and outside of her right arm.
[VICTIM #1] also informed me that she called this morning because she noticed the bruising and wanted it documented.
[VICTIM #1] stated that she did not wish to press charges against her son. However, due to the nature of the incident being classified as a Family Violence case, a warrant will be applied for Battery Against a Person 65 Years of Age or Older under OCGA 16-5-23.1(j).
A warrant was obtained and I returned to service.
