On this date 05/30/2025 I was dispatched to the Waffle House located at 4865 Ridge Road in reference to a vehicle fire that occurred in the parking lot. Upon my arrival, I spoke with [VICTIM #1].

Prior to my arrival Paulding County Fire had already put the vehicle fire out. Based on my brief observation of the vehicle I believed the fire was intentional. While speaking with [VICTIM #1] I asked her if she knew of anyone that would want to set her car on fire but she stated she did not. I met with a Paulding County Battalion Chief on scene and watched surveillance footage of the incident.

While watching the footage I observed [VICTIM #1] exit the driver side of the vehicle and unknown passenger exit the front passenger seat. The unknown passenger entered what appeared to be a gray/silver Honda CRV. A short time later what is to believed to be the same Honda CRV returned to the area and [VICTIM #1]’s car appeared to be set on fire. After seeing this I called my supervision to inform them of my findings. A short time later Detective T. Bennett #1198 and Detective S. Griffin #903 arrived on scene and took over further investigation.

I completed an impound sheet for the vehicle which was removed by American Wrecker and taken to our impound lot for further investigation.
