On February 28, 2026, at approximately 8:42 PM, I was dispatched to a domestic dispute at [700 BLOCK] Browning Road. Upon arrival, I made contact with the complainant and victim, [VICTIM #1], who provided the following account.
[VICTIM #1] stated she had taken a shower and her nighttime medication in preparation for going to sleep. When she exited the shower, her husband, Jason Miller, began rubbing on her in an attempt to initiate sexual contact. [VICTIM #1] told him no. She reported that Jason then became upset and began throwing items from the side table onto the floor. [VICTIM #1] stood up from her side of the bed, and Jason, who was already positioned on his side, was holding a Kimber 1911 CPD II, .45 ACP, serial number KU265188. [VICTIM #1] stated Jason pointed the firearm toward the ceiling and fired one round, placing her in fear for her safety. After discharging the firearm, Jason placed the weapon on the bed and left the residence. [VICTIM #1] said she did not know where he went and described him as wearing grey pants and no shirt. She also stated Jason was intoxicated. After he left, [VICTIM #1] covered the firearm with the comforter and called 911.
For officer safety, the residence was cleared. Corporal Clinton Snyder #943 located the firearm wrapped in the comforter on the bed, along with the holster. A spent .45 ACP shell casing was found on the floor next to the bed. A defect consistent with a gunshot was observed in the ceiling above the bed.
During a search of the property, Sergeant Jacob Martin #1204 located Jason Miller in a camper behind the residence, lying in the bed inside the camper. Cpl. Snyder placed Jason in handcuffs, and Deputy Isaac Jones #1129 escorted him to my patrol vehicle, where he was secured.
I transported Jason to the Paulding County Jail. Warrants for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Reckless Conduct, and Discharging a Firearm While Intoxicated were applied for. The firearm was placed in evidence locker number 3.
