On 11/22/25 at approximately 2337 hours, I, Detective A. Bekiesz, of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) Criminal Investigations Division (CID), was notified of a possible sexual assaulted at Wellstar Douglas Hospital by Captain Horsley. I contacted the medical staff who advised [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was currently being treated. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was reporting being physically assaulted at [1100 BLOCK] Cohran Store Rd. Medical staff reported [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was currently intoxicated and not being cooperative. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] injuries were reported as being minor and only a busted lip was visible.

I advised medical staff that a report would be made and I would follow-up with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] at a later time.

At approximately 0230 hours, Captain Horsley advised me that Wellstar Douglas Hospital was now advising [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was reporting being sexually assaulted. I contacted medical staff who advised [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was more cooperative and now reported being sexually assault as well as physically assaulted. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] requested a SANE exam. After confirming [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was still intoxicated, I advised medical staff she could not consent to a SANE exam until she is sober.

I advised the medical staff that I would contact her later in the day to schedule the exam at LiveSafe.
