On 01-24-2024 at 1952 I was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Glen Ridge Dr Villa Rica GA 30180 for a domestic disturbance. The call notes said the victim had been strangled by his girlfriend who had been drinking.
When I arrived on scene I spoke to the victim/complainant [VICTIM #1] (DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY]1969). He said his on and off girlfriend Jessica Kastory (DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY]-1975) hasn’t been taking her medicine. He said she was in a mode tonight while they were sitting on the couch and started to kick him. He said when he told her to stop she got up and picked up his socks then started to hit him in the face and head with them. He complained his lip hurt and he had a knot on his head. He said she stopped then walked around to the back of the couch put the socks around his neck and started to strangle him with them. [VICTIM #1] said that’s when he had enough and called 911. [VICTIM #1] wrote out a statement that is attached to the report. I asked [VICTIM #1] how long she had lived with him her said for the past two months this time and six months before.
I spoke to Jessica who was on the front porch laying in some trash when I arrived on the scene. I asked her what happened. She mumbled talk to him. I told her I did. She mumbled something else. I asked her why she strangled [VICTIM #1] she said ” because he was breathing”. She appeared to be intoxicated.
I placed her under arrest for FVA aggravated assault strangulation, and FVA simple battery. I transported her to the jail and turned her over to jail staff without incident/. I wrote the warrants for aggravated assault and simple battery FVA the judge signed them. The originals were placed in the warrant tray and copies were given to the jail.
