On 12/25/2025 at approximately1948 hours, I, Deputy Nicholas Passig did respond to [600 BLOCK] Scotland Dr., Dallas, GA 30132 in reference to an unknown problem.
Upon arriving on scene, myself and Deputy Kitchens made contact with the people inside the residence and none of the adults would explain what happened. While looking through the residence I noticed a white tissue that was covered in blood and a bent cigarette that also had blood at the top of the staircase.
I began asking the children in the upstairs portion of the home as there were approximately eight kids in the home. A twelve year old female (Later identified as [WITNESS #1]) stated that her dad (Later identified as [VICTIM #1]) and her uncle (Later identified as Melvin Williams) got into an argument in the driveway. [WITNESS #1] stated that her dad was standing on the sidewalk and her uncle was standing further up the driveway towards the house. [WITNESS #1] stated that Melvin was holding three knives at one point in the argument and that at some point Melvin put the knives away and stated “I hope somebody kill you” to [VICTIM #1].
[WITNESS #1] stated that Melvin threw a rock or brick at [VICTIM #1]. When Melvin threw the object at [VICTIM #1], it struck him on the face causing him to lose consciousness on the sidewalk. [WITNESS #1] stated that her mom (Later identified as [WITNESS #2]) had taken [VICTIM #1] to the hospital and was on the way back home. Melvin was not on scene at the time we arrived to the residence.
I began checking around the driveway and saw a missing brick from the walk path to the front door. Walking towards the sidewalk a brick that matched the others at the walk path was laying in the grass at the end of the yard. A photo was taken of the brick.
Myself and Deputy Kitchens waited for [WITNESS #2] to get home. Once [WITNESS #2] arrived on scene, she stated she didn’t know what happened because she was upstairs. I asked [WITNESS #2] if she had access to the ring doorbell camera and she was able to pull it up but there was no video of the incident that took place. [WITNESS #2] stated that she was throwing a party and everyone was supposed to be drinking alcohol and having a good time. [WITNESS #2] was asked what Melvin was wearing at the time the fight took place and she stated he was wearing all black clothes with a turtle neck sweater and she was unsure if he changed clothes.
While we were speaking to [WITNESS #2] a car pulled up and a couple told Deputy Kitchens that they saw a male hop their fence and didn’t know if it was related and that he was heading towards the club house.
Myself and Deputy Kitchens began patrolling the area looking for Melvin. As we checked the club house, on foot, the couple walked up to me and stated that they had video of the male jumping through their backyard. I viewed the video and saw a black figure with a bright colored shirt and bright colored pants holding a black bag, jump over the fence, run through the back yard, and jump the fence on the other side. After speaking with the couple I advised them to call 911 if the male came back.
Myself and Deputy Kitchens began driving through the neighborhood looking for Melvin. While driving down Aberdeenn Way, we spotted a male that was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, jean style vest, and blue jeans holding a black bag. Deputy Kitchens asked me if he matched the description of the video and I stated no because the video was black and white but did show the male wearing bright colored pants and shirt while holding a bag.
Deputy Kitchens turned the patrol car around and began driving back up the road and the male was gone. We then patrolled the area looking for the male but could not locate him again. We returned to the incident location to see if Melvin returned to the house and [WITNESS #2] stated he had not returned. Due to not being able to locate Melvin, myself and Deputy Kitchens patrolled the area again before going back In-Service.
Deputy Valentine went to the hospital to speak with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated he and Melvin had a disagreement, and they went outside. While outside, Melvin picked up a brick and threw it at his head, which struck him on the left side of his head. [VICTIM #1] went back inside the residence, called 911 and passed out. He told Deputy Valentine he wanted to press charges against Melvin.
Warrants have been obtained.
