On 12/9/2025 at approximately 0024 hours, I responded to a call for service regarding a dispute occurring at [20 BLOCK] Snooky Dr (located in Paulding County, Georgia).

Prior to arriving, the initial caller notified Paulding Dispatch that a 6’2″ black male was “intoxicated and ran into [[another vehicle] with his truck” and “there was a gun on scene”.

Upon my arrival, I spoke with one of the residents of the above-listed residence, who stated her boyfriend (Nicholas Davis) had “backed into a vehicle in [her] driveway, then left in his older model white Dodge truck.” After verifying she and Davis had not been involved in a dispute, I began searching the area for Davis’ truck.

I then located the white Dodge Ram 1500 (GA tag: [REDACTED]) nearby, in front of [1500 BLOCK] Winndale Rd, unoccupied. Moments later, Davis emerged from the woodline near [1500 BLOCK] Winndale Rd, reeking of an alcoholic beverage. Davis initially admitted to drinking an alcoholic beverage prior to his arrival on scene, then refused to answer any other questions pertaining to any alcoholic beverages. Due to Davis’s lack of balance and evasiveness, I did not perform field sobriety tests on Davis.

My prior knowledge of Davis stems from a previous arrest in which Davis attempted to conceal illegal substances during an arrest and had a firearm in his possession.

I then gave lawful verbal commands to Davis, telling him to “put his hands behind his back, because he was under arrest.” Davis then began pulling away from me, so I utilized a Kimura arm lock to gain control of Davis’ left arm, pinning it behind his back. Despite Davis’ continued resistance, I was able to place both arms behind his back and place him in handcuffs. Once the handcuffs were checked for a proper fit, Davis was placed in the rear seat of my patrol car.

During an inventory of Davis’ truck, I located a Mossberg rifle (Serial number: EVD4630920) in the rear bench seat of the vehicle, right next to a jar containing approximately 1 gram of Marijuana. A GCIC check of the rifle showed “no record found”. I then notified Paulding dispatch to start the next available wrecker in order to tow Davis’ vehicle. Once American Wrecker service arrived, the wrecker driver then towed the vehicle to American’s lot.

A GCIC check of Davis showed his license has been suspended since 10/27/2025, for a previous DUI. Davis admitted to having a suspended license as well, as part of his ongoing and intermittent spontaneous utterances. I then transported Davis to the Paulding County Jail, where he was booked in without incident. Warrants were taken out for Davis.
