On 01/27/26 at approximately 2047 hours, I, Deputy James Foy #398, did respond to [100 BLOCK] Willow Pointe Dr Dallas GA 30157 regarding a physical assault having already occurred.
Upon my arrival, I met with [VICTIM #1] (complainant / victim) and her son identified as [VICTIM #2] (victim). They advised that Rachel Kate Reich is a friend of the family and resides with them at their home.
They went on to advise that Rachel often becomes intoxicated on alcoholic beverages and then becomes physically abusive towards the occupants of the home and has done so frequently. They stated that on this date Rachel drank alcohol again and they attempted to address it. When they did, Rachel became upset and initiated unwanted physical contact with [VICTIM #2] causing a minor abrasion to his left eye brow.
As this occurred, [VICTIM #1] attempted to seperate her from [VICTIM #2] but was shoved with two hands to her upper chest by Rachel. They advised Rachel that they would be calling for law enforcement assistance at which time, Rachel fled on foot prior to my arrival.
I was shown a video as recorded by [VICTIM #2] of the event and this video was gathered as well as placed on the Sheriff’s I-Drive for future evidentiary purposes. I provided both victims with available resources as well as a card with the case number for this event affixed.
A brief search behind the residence was conducted with negative results. As I was prepared to leave, I was notified by the occupants that Rachel had returned by coming in the back door and was in the basement. I went back inside and to the basement were she was located. I observed that she was barefoot with moisture and mud going up to her knees. Her clothes were disheveled and her hair was up and messy as if she had been running in brush.
She was arrested on scene without incident and searched for contraband with negative results. When she was arrested, her hands were handcuffed and double locked behind her back afterbeing checked for proper fit. I escorted her to my vehicle and seatbelted her in the rear passenger side seat. She was transported to Paulding County Jail for booking / lodging. Upon our arrival, she was turned over to jail staff for processing.
It should be noted that the events of this incident on scene were recorded on my body worn camera so as to document all on scene testimony as well as injury sustained by [VICTIM #2].
Criminal arrest warrants for Rachel will be applied for the following charges:
Battery (FVA) OCGA 16-5-23.1(f)(1)
Simple Battery (FVA) OCGA 16-5-23 (c)
