On 05/30/2026, I, Officer Nations of the Clayton Police Department responded to 87 Old Livery Street in reference to a person entering onto the property and asking for assistance. Upon our arrival, we met with [VICTIM #1] and her juvenile daughter, [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [VICTIM #1] spoke broken english and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was fluent in both English and Spanish. [REDACTED], an employee, contacted her husband by phone to assist with language translation.

[VICTIM #1] advised that she and her daughter traveled to 87 Old Livery Street for help because of her spouse, Antonio Reyes, came home under the influence of an alcoholic beverages and started an altercation. [VICTIM #1] advised that Antonio accused her of cheating and called her a “b*tch”, along with other degrading names. [VICTIM #1] advised that Antonio returns home drunk often and she wanted him removed from the home. [VICTIM #1] advised that she has searched for other places for her and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to move to in order to get away from Antonio, but the monthly rent of $1800 was too expensive for her alone.

[VICTIM #1] was asked if any physical abuse took place between herself and Antonio. [VICTIM #1] pulled down her shirt collar and she displayed a scratch across her upper chest area. Sgt Beck photographed her injury. [VICTIM #1] explained that Antonio caused the scratch during the argument and struggle that took place between them.

I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to speak with me. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and I sit at a table away from [VICTIM #1]. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] if she seen what happened and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that she did. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that she and her mother was watching television when her father, Antonio, came home intoxicated. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that her father began calling her mother names and her mother took her upstairs. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that her father eventually made his way upstairs also and continued to call her mother names.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] described a struggle taking place between her father and mother and it scared her so much that she screamed out loud. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that her father told her mother to scratch or physically assault him before he scratched her mother. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that the altercation occurred at midnight and her father was calm this morning when he awoke. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that he began consuming alcoholic beverages again and was beginning to become angry.

I spoke with [VICTIM #1] again and [VICTIM #1] verified she took [REDACTED BY AGENCY] upstairs and Antonio came up and continued the verbal abuse. [VICTIM #1] advised that a physical altercation began and Antonio scratched her during the altercation. [VICTIM #1] advised that she never assaulted Antonio, and Antonio started the problems. [VICTIM #1] advised that she wanted Antonio removed from the home. I explained that I would be seeking arrest warrants for Antonio and he would be arrested for what occurred.

[VICTIM #1] advised that Antonio needed some type of treatment for his alcoholic behavior. I advised [VICTIM #1] that he may have bond conditions that instructed him to not consume alcoholic beverages and maybe the court proceedings would require him to seek the treatment(s) needed. [VICTIM #1] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was asked to stay in place until I was able to seek arrest warrants for Antonio and pick him up from the apartment.

I traveled to the office and completed two warrants; (1) BATTERY – FVA, (1) CRUELTY TO CHILDREN 3RD DEGREE. I contacted Judge Blalock and met him to have the warrants read and signed. I returned to the police department and met with Sgt Beck and Ofc Chapman. We traveled to Apartment [REDACTED] of the Stave Mill Apartments and attempted contact with Antonio. We observed no answer and no sign of Antonio being outside of the apartment. We returned to service.
