On 08/18/2025 at 0945 hours, the school counselor, Mrs. [WITNESS #1], contacted me and asked to meet about a possible sexual assault of a student by her stepfather. Mrs. [WITNESS #1] stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (10 years old) came to her office and said that last night, while she was going to give a hug to her stepfather, he grabbed her hand and directed her hand towards his private area on the outside of his pants. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] pulled her hand right away and said no. After that, the stepfather said that this stays between us, don’t tell Mom.

Mrs. [WITNESS #1] had already filed a DFCS report regarding this incident. I then contacted investigator Brandon Hyer for guidance and support of this case.
