On August 15, 2026, at 1428 hours, I, Deputy Nicholas Toskin (225), and Sgt Robert Flanders (B24) responded to [4300 BLOCK] Saxon Road regarding an assault.

Upon arrival, deputies were met by [WITNESS #1] (Witness), who stated that he and [VICTIM #1] (Victim), his sister, and Carlton Jones (Primary Aggressor/Suspect) were arguing outside in the front yard. [WITNESS #1] stated that [VICTIM #1] and Carlton were arguing about not taking her two kids, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (Other) and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (Other), out somewhere, and he was trying to get them to stop. [WITNESS #1] stated that Carlton started arguing with him. [WITNESS #1] stated that he walked into the house and [VICTIM #1] was following him when he heard gunfire, and shortly afterward Carlton was fleeing the scene in his listed (Silver 2013 Kia Optima SC Tag# [REDACTED]). [WITNESS #1] stated that he noticed his sister, [VICTIM #1] had been shot and called 911.

[VICTIM #1] stated that she and Carlton were arguing because they were supposed to go out to a trampoline park with her two kids, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] but Carlton changed his mind. [VICTIM #1] said her brother, [WITNESS #1], tried to get them to stop arguing. [VICTIM #1] said [WITNESS #1] and Carlton started a physical fight with each other in the front yard. [VICTIM #1] stated she separated them, and she and [WITNESS #1] walked inside while Carlton walked toward his listed vehicle. [VICTIM #1] stated that Carlton retrieved a firearm from his listed vehicle and started shooting at her. [VICTIM #1] stated that [WITNESS #1] was already inside the home and she was standing in the doorway when Carlton started shooting. [VICTIM #1] stated that her kids [REDACTED BY AGENCY] were in one of the bedrooms, not near the gunfire. [VICTIM #1] stated that she was unsure how many shots were fired. [VICTIM #1] stated that she is seven weeks pregnant with Carlton’s baby. [VICTIM #1] stated that she had the listed (Black Glock 17 Serial # 04313GEN1), which was collected and turned in as evidence under property receipt # 554833.

RCSO Clerk [REDACTED] checked the listed Black Glock 17, Serial # 04313GEN1, and found no record.

Central EMS Med 20 transported [VICTIM #1] to Wellstar/MCG.

CID took over the investigation.
