Vehicle 1 and Vehicle 2 were traveling east on the John C Calhoun Expy with Vehicle 1 in the left through lane and Vehicle 2 in the right through lane. The driver of Vehicle 2 stated that the driver of Vehicle 1 swerved into his lane when the right side of Vehicle 1 struck the left side of Vehicle 2. The driver of Vehicle 1 stopped and approached the driver of Vehicle 2 in an aggressive manner. The driver of Vehicle 2 advised the driver of Vehicle 1 that he was calling the police, the driver of Vehicle 1 returned to his vehicle and fled the scene east on the John C Calhoun Expy towards 12th St. The driver of Vehicle 2 was able to provide video footage from his dash camera

I contacted the registered owner of Vehicle 1 and met with both her daughter and her at 3804 Washington Rd (McDonald’s). Both were shown a still photo of the driver of Vehicle 1 which was obtained from the driver of Vehicle 2, and both the registered owner and her daughter identified the driver of Vehicle 1 as Christian Briante Love. They contacted Love and attempted to get Love to meet at the same location. Love refused but dropped Vehicle 1 off around the corner on Davis Rd.. Vehicle 1 was towed by the list wrecker, Watkins, to their lot.
Deputy’s investigation revealed that the driver of Vehicle 1 was at fault and was cited for failure to maintain lane, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a valid license. Arrest is pending.
