On 06/24/2025 at 0628 hours, I, Deputy Eyth, was dispatched to [2600 BLOCK] Gloucester Drive, Apartment [REDACTED], about a home invasion.

Upon arrival, I met with [VICTIM #1] (Victim), who stated that she arrived home around 0100 and 0200 hours on today’s date.

[VICTIM #1] said she went upstairs and was playing on her PS5 when she indicated her dog began whimpering. [VICTIM #1] stated that she went down the stairs, and when she passed her kitchen area, a white male wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, and blue shoes, who was lying in wait, jumped out and grabbed her.

[VICTIM #1] stated she screamed, and the suspect grabbed her by the throat with his hands and kept saying, “Do you want to breathe?” “Don’t make any noise,” [VICTIM #1] stated that if she made noise, he would choke her harder. [VICTIM #1] noted that she was very close to losing consciousness several times and said her vision would fade, and she felt like she was about to pass out.

[VICTIM #1] then stated that the suspect dragged her by the throat to living room and told her to roll over so he could tie her up, she thought he was going to rape her. [VICTIM #1] then stated that the suspect placed thick zip cuffs on her wrists and bound her hands behind her back.

[VICTIM #1] stated that after she was restrained, she recognized her attacker as David Drache and described him as a white male, tall, with red curly hair, and heavy-set.

[VICTIM #1] stated she recognizes Drache from her workplace as a frequent customer and further noted that he would sometimes bring her home from Columbia, SC, to Augusta, GA. [VICTIM #1] stated that she and other girls would frequent Drache’s residents in Columbia, SC, after work and stay there overnight. However, [VICTIM #1] states she has not stayed there for over a year and a half.

[VICTIM #1] stated she kept pleading to take the plastic cuffs off and saying I know this isn’t you, and finally he took them off after 3 to 4 hours. She stated that he continued trying to get her to go with him, but she said her family was coming to her residence to pick her up, and if she weren’t home, they’d know something was wrong. She stated that the fear of someone arriving at the residence prompted him to leave her residence.

[VICTIM #1] stated that Drache drives a dark gray to black charger and left her residence at approximetly 0545 hours this morning. [VICTIM #1] then contacted law enforcement and reported the incident.

I contacted Sgt. Amos and he responded to the scene at approximetly 0815 hours. Sgt Nguyen was notified and also arrived on the scene at the time of the call.
