On September 5, 2026, at approximately 2326 hours, I, Deputy Devin Camacho (415), along with Deputy Joshua Spears (415P), responded to [700 BLOCK] Holderness Court in reference to an assault.

Upon arrival, we made contact with the listed primary aggressor, Edwardo Rich, and the listed victim, [VICTIM #1].

I spoke with Edwardo Rich, who advised that he and his brother, [VICTIM #1], had been consuming alcoholic beverages for most of the day while mourning the recent death of their grandmother, who had passed away only hours prior to the call. Edwardo stated that an argument had initially occurred between him and [VICTIM #1] regarding old family issues. Edwardo advised that the two separated themselves following the initial disagreement.

Edwardo stated that a short time later, one of [VICTIM #1]’s children allegedly threw a remote control at one of Edwardo’s children. Edwardo advised that he then went upstairs to confront [VICTIM #1] about the incident, at which time another verbal altercation began. Edwardo stated that during the second altercation, [VICTIM #1] placed his hands on him first and put him in a chokehold. Edwardo advised that he bit [VICTIM #1] in an attempt to get away from him. Edwardo further stated that [VICTIM #1] then struck him in the face multiple times with closed-hand fists, causing his nose to bleed.

I also spoke with [VICTIM #1], who provided a statement that was substantially similar to Edwardo’s account of the incident. [VICTIM #1] advised that the primary difference was that Edwardo bit him first during the altercation. [VICTIM #1] stated that he responded by striking Edwardo in the nose once or twice with closed-hand fists in an attempt to get Edwardo away from him. [VICTIM #1] advised that the altercation ended shortly thereafter, and law enforcement arrived on scene a short time later.

Due to the circumstances of the incident, Edwardo Rich was taken into custody and transported to jail for Disorderly Conduct for acting in a vulgar and tumultuous manner and using vulgar and tumultuous language, towards deputies who were on scene.

[VICTIM #1] advised that he did not wish to pursue criminal charges regarding the physical altercation. [VICTIM #1] stated that he wanted everyone to calm down, become sober, and eventually reconcile with one another. [VICTIM #1] further indicated that the recent and sudden death of their grandmother had caused both brothers to be in an emotional state.
