On 092326 at 1959hrs Deputy Kevin Clarke responded to [3800 BLOCK] Karleen Rd Lt [REDACTED] in reference to a stabbing.
Upon arrival Deputy Clarke located the victim [VICTIM #1] who stated that he was at home with his brother Frank Jackson when he went to go get something to eat. He stated that Frank mad over him eating again and started yelling at him. He stated that it was normal for Frank to be aggravated when he drank white liquor. [VICTIM #1] advised that while they went back and forth arguing Frank grabbed a machete and then came at him. He added that he tried backing up until he could not go any further he grabbed a vacuum cleaner to defend himself, and when he did that Frank swung the machete at him and he tried to block it by raising the vacuum. He advised that he felt he did not do a good job at it because he still got hit in his arm.
While Deputy Clarke was talking to [VICTIM #1] Central EMS was working on his laceration which was covered in blood but appeared to measure around 4 to 5 inches on his left forearm. He was then transported to Piedmont Hospital for treatment by Med 13.
Deputy Clarke was informed that Cpl Christopher Lucree had Frank in the back seat of his patrol car. Deputy Clarke read Frank Miranda where he then agreed to speak with Deputy Clarke. Frank stated that they lived together and that they always watch movies together. He stated that [VICTIM #1] knows he gets mean when he drinks his white liquor. He stated that because they got into an argument he felt it was going to get physical and so to level the field he grabbed his machete. He stated that [VICTIM #1] then grabbed a vacuum cleaner and then hit him in the nose with it. He stated that Deputies were trying to make a criminal case out of something that is just a brotherly argument and that it was not that big of a deal.
CID Sgt Josh Evans advised for Cpl Lucree to transport Frank to CID for an interview and for the scene to be turned over to Inv Trivia Hardy. Case was then turned over to CID including evidence.
