On June 3, 2025, I, Deputy Tiyana Grimes (#324), was dispatched to [2200 BLOCK] Ward Ave. (Residence) in reference to Deceased Person.

Upon arrival, I was advised by my EMS that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (Deceased/ Juvenile) had overdosed on what they believed to be methadone and possibly another substance. I was also advised that the other juvenile at the residence was placed in protective custody and transported to the Children’s Hospital to be evaluated for possible consumption of unknown drugs.

I spoke to Tristan, who stated that the last time he saw [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was at 15:00 hrs before he went to work. He did not see [REDACTED BY AGENCY] upon returning to the residence at 22:45 hrs. He then stated that Lowery had woken him up, and she said [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was not breathing.

While on scene, Engine 6, QRV 1, and Med14 responded. Supervisor Brooks (#C-34), CID, Coroner (#49), and [REDACTED] (DFACS) were notified. Genysis Lowery (Complainant/ Mother) and Tristan Dunn (Other/Father) were taken into custody and transported to CID. TOD 05:15 hrs.
