On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 12:13 hours, I, Deputy Alain Gagné (121) and Cpl David Hopkins (C13) responded to 3630 Goldfinch Drive, Meadowbrook Elementary, in reference to child abuse.

Upon my arrival, I made contact with the aforementioned complainant, [WITNESS #1], who summarily stated that on today’s date at approximately 11:30 hours a school nurse notified her that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] listed victim, had been escorted to the nurse’s office by his teacher due to the presence of welts on his arms. The complainant reported that the juvenile initially stated his three-year-old brother inflicted the marks; however, he subsequently alleged that his mother, Jasmine Herrington, listed suspect, administered corporal punishment after he removed hot sauce from a cabinet and was untruthful about the incident. The incident occured on 02/10/2026 in the evening hours at the juvenile residence located at [2900 BLOCK] Meadowbrook drive.

The officer observed multiple linear welts on both arms of the victim, extending from his hands upward toward the shoulder region.

I contacted DFACS, and a representative, Ms [REDACTED](cell phone number: [REDACTED]) responded to the scene.

CID Investigator Hambick(730) responded to the scene, and all further investigative responsibility was transferred to the Criminal Investigations Division. I transported the suspect to RCJ.
