On Sunday, May 10, 2026, at approximately 2228 hours, I, Deputy Paul Whittenberger (315), along with Deputy Brandon Schrumpf (313), were dispatched to 2819 Washington Road (World of Beer) in reference to stalking.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim, identified as [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated she and her husband, identified as Joshua Lovett, are currently going through a divorce and that she has an active Temporary Protective Order (TPO) against him. [VICTIM #1] stated that while she was sitting in her vehicle with a male acquaintance in the passenger seat, Joshua Lovett and his unidentified sister arrived in an unknown make and model vehicle and parked directly in front of her vehicle, preventing her from leaving the parking space.
[VICTIM #1] stated Joshua exited the vehicle and approached the passenger side of her vehicle, yelling at the male passenger to leave. [VICTIM #1] further stated Joshua’s sister was yelling at her, recording the incident on her cellular phone, and making insulting comments while [VICTIM #1] was on the phone with dispatch.
Deputies then made contact with Joshua Lovett. Joshua stated he was riding around shopping with his sister when he observed a black Chevrolet Tahoe he recognized as belonging to him. Joshua stated he was driving the vehicle and pulled into the parking lot after recognizing the vehicle. Joshua stated he parked in front of the Tahoe and observed [VICTIM #1] inside with another male. Joshua admitted he exited his vehicle, opened the passenger side door of [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle, and confronted the male passenger, who then exited the vehicle and left the scene. Joshua stated he then questioned [VICTIM #1] regarding why she was with another man.
Deputies then spoke with a manager at World of Beer, who provided surveillance footage of the incident. The footage showed Joshua Lovett and his sister arriving at the location and parking their vehicle directly in front of [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle, preventing it from leaving the parking area. The footage further showed Joshua exiting the vehicle and approaching [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle. The surveillance footage was recorded and uploaded via Axon Capture under this case number.
Records was contacted and confirmed [VICTIM #1] had an active Temporary Protective Order against Joshua Lovett at the time of the incident.
Sergeant Rawlins was notified and advised of the incident. CID Sergeant Brown was also contacted and advised.
Based on the victim’s statements, video evidence, and confirmation of the active Temporary Protective Order, probable cause was established for the offense of Aggravated Stalking, as Joshua Lovett knowingly contacted and surveilled [VICTIM #1] in violation of the court order.
[VICTIM #1] was provided a case card and advised on how to obtain a copy of the report. Warrants were applied for and signed.
