On 04/29/2026, I, Deputy Rodney Manuel (202), along with Deputy Calvin Swann (215), responded to 3539 Wheeler Rd. (Circle K) in reference to a Trouble with Person complaint.
Upon arrival, the complainant, [VICTIM #1], stated she was being yelled at and chased around the Circle K parking lot by an unknown suspect (later identified as Matthew Crawford) into Wheeler Rd. [VICTIM #1] added she nearly entered traffic and was almost struck by one or two vehicles. [VICTIM #1] described the suspect as an unknown white male, approximately 5’3″ in height, with blue eyes, wearing a tan hat and a red hoodie. [VICTIM #1] further advised the suspect appeared to be approximately 40 years of age. [VICTIM #1] stated the unknown suspect then left the area walking east on Wheeler Rd.
Deputy Swann located a subject matching the description provided by [VICTIM #1] at 3686 Wheeler Rd (MedNow). The individual was identified as Matthew Crawford. Crawford stated he had no idea of what [VICTIM #1] was talking about.
Crawford was arrested and transport to RCJ where he was booked and process without further incident.
