RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. – Three men from Augusta and Grovetown, Georgia, recently made headlines for participating in a thrilling new survival reality television show on Fox. “Extracted,” which premiered on Monday, February 10, 2025, features a group of untrained participants who get abandoned in the vast, harsh Canadian wilderness and must fend for themselves to be the last person standing.
Each competitor is vying for a grand prize of $250,000. Along with their harrowing challenges out in the wild, the series also shows each player’s family members, who are safe and sound at a headquarters command center.
The relatives offer help to their loved ones throughout the series and hold the power to press the red button to extract them from the game. Only then can the participants leave the competition.
Some of the perilous conditions they may face include treacherous terrain, severe weather, and even deadly predators like bears. The family members are provided a 24/7 live feed of the participants and will also compete among themselves to obtain food and supplies for their family member or friend.
The Peach State’s Charles “Woody” Kaminer, a 50-year-old retired law officer, can be viewed competing for the prize with assistance from his son Blake and nephew Collin Hodson. The 12 competitors facing the Canadian landscape include men and women of various ages, ranging from 18 to 56.
