On May 10, 2026, at 2331 hours, I, Deputy Ashley Henriquez (310), responded to 3039 Washington Rd., Heritage Inn, in reference to a trouble with subject.

Upon arrival, I made contact with the complainant, who was identified as [VICTIM #1], the owner of the establishment. Mr. [VICTIM #1] advised that the male subjects in room [REDACTED] were intoxicated and disorderly, and he wanted both of them removed from the property. The subjects were later identified as Roderick Jenkins and Broderick Jenkins.

I advised both subjects that Mr. [VICTIM #1] no longer wanted their business and wanted them removed from the property, and instructed them to gather their belongings. Throughout the time they were gathering their property, both subjects were stalling and not attempting to leave the property with a sense of urgency, ultimately prolonging the process of remaining on the property after being told they needed to leave.

Mr. Broderick Jenkins’ level of intoxication was more obvious than Mr. Roderick Jenkins’. Mr. Broderick Jenkins continued to use vulgar and obscene unbecoming language, completely manifested with boisterous behavior while inside the room. He later went outside into the parking lot area and yelled obscene racial slurs toward me, referring to me as a “nigg*r.” He continued this behavior outside, where he was warned to stop during the interaction because of his disorderly and intoxicated state.

Mr. Broderick Jenkins proceeded with the behavior and entered the vehicle, but was still within public view and continued yelling racial slurs and using vulgar and obscene language while I was trying to vacate the room. During the interaction, Mr. Roderick Jenkins started acting unreasonably and abandoned property inside the hotel room and went into the vehicle while I was attempting to advise him that he was abandoning his property.

Without a legitimate emergency-related purpose, Mr. Broderick Jenkins called 911 and proceeded to use vulgar and obscene language toward the dispatchers, referring to myself and Deputy Jordan Walker as “nigg*rs.” Due to his intoxicated state, he engaged in unlawful conduct during a 911 call and further interfered with 911 operations. It was confirmed through radio traffic that Mr. Broderick Jenkins was on the phone with communications officers.

At that point, Mr. Broderick Jenkins was in violation of unlawful conduct during a 911 call and was advised he was under arrest. Mr. Roderick Jenkins and Mr. Broderick Jenkins locked themselves inside the vehicle and were told on multiple occasions by myself and Deputy Jordan Walker, who was on scene, to unlock the door. Their actions obstructed me in the discharge of my lawful duties.

I requested a supervisor to respond to the scene prior to breaching the window as a form of de-escalation. Both parties were advised they were under arrest for obstruction of a law enforcement officer for failing to comply with my lawful commands to unlock the door and exit the vehicle. While speaking with Sgt. Rowlings, who arrived on scene after being requested, Deputy Jordan Walker was able to get both subjects out of the vehicle after an extended amount of time.

Mr. Broderick Jenkins will be charged with obstruction of a law enforcement officer and unlawful conduct during a 911 call.

Mr. Roderick Jenkins was charged with obstruction for failing to comply with my commands after Mr. Broderick Jenkins was advised he was under arrest and needed to unlock the vehicle door. Both parties were transported to RCJ. Both subjects were issued trespassing warning and intel [REDACTED] was notified.

Warrants were applied for and signed records clerk [REDACTED] sent the warrants to RCJ.
