On April 21st, 2026, at 1554 hours, I, Deputy Michael Rowe, responded to 2569 Central Ave regarding a theft.

Upon arrival, Deputy Rowe made contact with [WITNESS #1], who stated that he has the power of attorney over [VICTIM #1] and that he recently took over her account, and he has recently started looking over her bank statements and noticed that the lady who used to be her caregiver, Tana Jones, has written multiple checks in her name and used multiple accounts for her own personal gain. [WITNESS #1] stated that this has been going on for a minimum of a year.

[WITNESS #1] stated [VICTIM #1] made a stamp of her signature because she had gotten to the point where she could barely write anymore. [WITNESS #1] stated that Jones has been writing checks and using the stamp for [VICTIM #1]’s signature, and that multiple checks have been written to her and her family.

[WITNESS #1] stated that so far, they have located the following amounts.
Truist Bank $17,000.00
Synovus Bank $17,328.00
Schwab bank $43,157.00

[WITNESS #1] stated that as soon as he noticed this, he relieved Jones of her duties.

[WITNESS #1] stated that he went to [VICTIM #1] and advised her of the situation, and she stated that she wanted to pursue charges against Jones for this.

Deputy Rowe was unable to locate anything on Jones, but upon running the phone number provided it came back to a [REDACTED], and she was added to the subject tab.

Sgt. McKenzie B21 was notified of this incident, and also Sgt. Hornsby in CID was notified of this incident.

[WITNESS #1] said he has more information on this matter but would bring it up once an investigator follows up with him.

A few photos of the transactions were uploaded to evidence.com
