On 01/13/26 at 1747 hours, I, Deputy Taylor Dunbar (D073), responded to a stabbing that occurred at [2600 BLOCK] Harrington Dr. Arriving on scene, I made contact with Deputy Reginald Holcomb, who was first on scene.

Deputy Holcomb had a kitchen knife secured, which was used in the stabbing. Deputy Holcomb stated that he made contact with suspect Tiffany Mack, who was sitting on the couch in the living room with the knife at her feet. Prior to my arrival, the victim, [VICTIM #1], had been transported to Piedmont Hospital with a knife wound to the chest.

I then read Mack her Miranda Rights, and she proceeded to explain that she got into a verbal altercation with her daughter, [VICTIM #1]. Mack stated that [VICTIM #1] became confrontational when Mack argued with her other daughters about cleaning the home. [VICTIM #1] confronted Mack, and a verbal altercation occurred.

Mack then left the residence for 30 minutes to calm down, and when returning, [VICTIM #1] confronted her again. Mack then grabbed a knife from the kitchen and told [VICTIM #1], “I’m going to defend myself”. Mack then stated that [VICTIM #1] raised her hand to strike Mack, and Mack swiped at [VICTIM #1] with the knife, making contact with her chest. The two were then separated by [WITNESS #1], who was also in the residence during the incident.

I then spoke to [WITNESS #1], who witnessed the incident, and she stated that a verbal argument ensued between [VICTIM #1] and Mack. [WITNESS #1] then stated Mack left for 30 minutes, and when returning, another argument ensued, and Mack grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stated, “I wish you would,” when [VICTIM #1] confronted Mack for a second time.

At this time, [WITNESS #1] was between Mack and [VICTIM #1], trying to separate the two when Mack reached over [WITNESS #1] and stabbed [VICTIM #1] once in the chest. [WITNESS #1] then pushed [VICTIM #1] into the bathroom to protect her. Following, Mack sat on the couch waiting for deputies to arrive. [WITNESS #1] had no mention of [VICTIM #1] attempting to strike Mack.

I then contacted CID Sgt Amos and made him aware of the situation. Investigators Pettite and Clark also arrived on scene. Sgt Amos approved the warrants for Mack. Mack was then transported to CBWDC, where she was committed.

Investigator Pettite then went to Piedmont Hospital to speak with [VICTIM #1] and photographed her injuries. The wound was in the center of her chest and was a laceration not requiring stitches. The photograph of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries was uploaded to Evidence.com. The knife was photographed and measured 8″ in blade length and was dropped off to evidence lockers of 400 Walton Way under property receipt 545492.

Warrants applied for.
