On Thursday April 10, 2025 at approximately 0330hours I, Deputy Trisha Hoffman (403), responded to [1900 BLOCK] Cooney Circle in reference to a domestic.

Upon arrival I spoke with [VICTIM #1] (Victim) who stated that she came home and saw Zerron Sturgis (Primary Aggressor) outside of her residence. When seeing Sturgis, [VICTIM #1] went inside and locked the door. [VICTIM #1]’s uncle then unlocked the door and Sturgis walked inside of Sturgis residence. Upon walking inside Sturgis told [VICTIM #1] “Let me sober up, I’m going to call somebody to come get me”. [VICTIM #1] then replied “No you need to leave I don’t want you here”. Sturgis then repeated himself, [VICTIM #1] then told him again he needed to leave. Sturgis then said “I’m tired, I’m going to kill myself”. [VICTIM #1] stated she was in her bedroom standing by her closet with their 3 year old in her arms when Sturgis reared back hitting her in the left eye with his gun causing significant swelling and a minor cut. [VICTIM #1] stated that it happened so fast that she was unsure of what part of the gun he hit her with. After Sturgis hit [VICTIM #1] with his gun he jumped into his Tan 2004 Chevy Tahoe and headed in an unknown direction. [VICTIM #1] described the gun as a unknown black small handgun with a orange stripe on it.

When looking at [VICTIM #1]’s left eye it was swollen shut and she could barely open it. I gave [VICTIM #1] a case card and advised her of where she can pick up her report. CID Sgt Evans was notified and it was turned over to them. CID Sgt Evans also stated that CID will take out the warrants on Sturgis.
