On October 6, 2025, at approximately 2008 hours, I, Deputy Wright, along with Deputy D. Terrell and Deputy Dockett, responded to a call regarding a person armed at the Magnet Market BP Gas Station located at Oglesby Road and GA Highway 20, Conyers, Georgia.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with one of the complainants, [VICTIM #1], who stated that a female identified as Donna, also known by the nickname “Sunshine,” had brandished a firearm during a verbal altercation.
[VICTIM #1] explained that she and [VICTIM #2] were inside the store near the slot machines when Donna entered and began conversing with others. The discussion became heated, and Donna became verbally aggressive toward [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2]. [VICTIM #1] reportedly made a comment directed at Donna, stating, “I see you’re talking to another man who’s trash,” which prompted Donna to storm out of the store.
Roughly 15-20 minutes later, Donna returned accompanied by a male subject believed to be her boyfriend. Upon re-entering the store, Donna allegedly began yelling and using multiple degrading and derogatory names toward [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2], causing a disturbance. [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] both stated that Donna then brandished a firearm, exposing it in a threatening manner.
The confrontation evolved outside the store, where [VICTIM #1] alleged that Donna pointed the weapon directly at her and [VICTIM #2]. [VICTIM #1] advised that Donna’s boyfriend physically pulled her away from the scene to prevent further escalation.
There were a total of four witnesses present, including [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2]. One witness, a store clerk, declined to provide a written statement. [WITNESS #1], the store manager, did provide a statement and granted deputies access to the store’s surveillance footage. Deputy Dockett’s body-worn camera recorded the footage.
The security footage did not clearly capture the moment Donna allegedly brandished the weapon or pointed it toward the complainants; however, multiple witness statements were obtained supporting the verbal and physical confrontation. [VICTIM #1] also informed deputies that Donna is known to be an alcoholic and has displayed similar aggressive behavior in the past.
[VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] further stated that they knew the location of Donna’s residence and offered to escort deputies to the address. Myself, Deputy Terrell, and Deputy Dockett proceeded to [4300 BLOCK] Derbyshire Trace, Conyers, GA 30094, but contact with the alleged suspect was negative.
Deputy Terrell informed [VICTIM #1] and [VICTIM #2] that the case would be forwarded to an investigator and that an incident report would be completed documenting the encounter.
Status:
Incident report made and TOT to CID for further investigation.
No arrest made at this time.
