I Deputy McLemore was dispatched to a Person Armed on 4/15/2025 located at 1 Frontier Dr

Upon arrival I spoke with [VICTIM #1] who stated that her baby father Eduardo Rodriquez had struck her with a machete. [VICTIM #1] stated that she had gone into the store and came out and seen Eduardo walking with another female. [VICTIM #1] doesn’t know who the female is, but [VICTIM #1] stated she asked Eduardo to tell the female about the dog that was roaming around.

After [VICTIM #1] told Eduardo he struck her out of nowhere with the machete injuring her finger on her left hand, causing it to bleed. After the incident happened Eduardo left walking up the street and went into the woods. Deputies tried to locate Eduardo but couldn’t find him.

A Witness name [WITNESS #1] saw the incident happened and stated that she was driving down the road and [WITNESS #1] saw Eduardo hit [VICTIM #1] with the Machete, and other men that was around tried to stop it. [WITNESS #1] stated that Eduardo also mentioned he had a gun and then left speed walking. [WITNESS #1] stated she doesn’t Know [VICTIM #1].

Another witness, named [WITNESS #2] stated that he also seen the incident happen. [WITNESS #2] stated that there wasn’t another woman with Eduardo it was just [VICTIM #1]. [WITNESS #2] stated that Eduardo sent [VICTIM #1] in to get some papers from the store and when she came out, he seen him hit her with the machete and Eduardo had left. He didn’t see what caused him to do it.

[VICTIM #1] stated that they do not live together but she stayed with him last night [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. [VICTIM #1] stated that this is one of the spots Eduardo be at and that he be all around Sunrise and doesn’t know exactly where he lives.

I put a warrant for Eduardo Rodriquez for Aggravated Assault.
