On the afternoon of March 7, 2025, at approximately 1:11 PM. I arrived at 911 Chambers Dr (Headquarters) to meet with Ms. [VICTIM #1] in reference to an assault that occurred several days prior. The assault occurred in the suspects bedroom at [2600 BLOCK] South Lakeview Dr, Conyers, GA 30094. The address located in zone 4. A witness statement was given to the complainant for completion.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she was punched in the face by a male subject she had been having relations with. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said the two had not been in a serious relationship, however the two had been seeing each other off and on for several months. The male subject was identified as Mario Brent, black male D-O-B [REDACTED BY AGENCY]-2000.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] said that on the afternoon of March 1, 2025, at around 1:30 PM, she was sleeping over Mr. Brents home when she located Mr. Brents cellphone laying down charging. Ms. [VICTIM #1] admitted to retrieving Mr. Brent’s cellphone and going through its contents without his knowledge. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said she located text message conversations between Mr. Brent and another female.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] said she proceeded to confront Mr. Brent, who became upset and began to argue with her. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that during the argument, she was told to leave the residence.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] said she refused and demanded payment for some items Mr. Brent had damaged during a physical altercation in February. That incident was not reported. Ms. [VICTIM #1] could not provide me with the actual items damaged or date of occurrence.
She said the argument escalated and Mr. Brent began to physically remove Ms. [VICTIM #1] from his bedroom. A struggle then ensued. At one point Ms. [VICTIM #1] said she picked up a cup of soda and attempted to toss it at Mr. Brent.
She said that the Styrofoam cup broke as Mr. Brent counter blocked. At that point Mr. Brent struck Ms. [VICTIM #1] in the face twice. Ms. [VICTIM #1] said another unidentified male exited a bedroom and assisted her when looking for her items that went flying after the strike.
His name is unknown according to Ms. [VICTIM #1] during a brief interview on 3/11/2025. Ms. [VICTIM #1] was able to leave the residence and was driven to Rockdale Piedmont. When asked why she didn’t contact law enforcement, Ms. [VICTIM #1] said she was scared and hung up on dispatch when she was going to make the call.
She said officers from the Conyers Police Department were notified by medical staff and took her report. But no follow-up had been conducted. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated she wanted to press charges on her assailant due to the pain and suffering she endured.
According to Ms. [VICTIM #1], she suffered several fractures in her jawbone, which left her face bruised and temporally disfigured. She is set to report to surgery on Thursday March 13, 2025, at 6 AM.
Based on the testimonial and physical evidence provided by Ms. [VICTIM #1], I have reason to believe a crime has been committed on March 1, 2025, by the accused, Mr. Mario Brent. A warrant for OCGA 16-5-24 (aggravated Battery) will be issued for Mr. Brent.
Both Mr. Brent and Ms. [VICTIM #1] do not live in the same residence, nor do they have any children together. Pictures were obtained for report purposes.
