On Tuesday April 29, 2025, at approximately 1400 hours, I, Deputy Mattox # 2370, was on duty at Salem High School as the school resource officer when I was notified by Coach [REDACTED] via telephone, in reference to a student wanting to report a crime.

On the above date and time, Coach [REDACTED] called me and stated that I was needed in the counselor office. Upon my arrival, I notice a male student by the name of [REDACTED BY AGENCY], Ms. [WITNESS #1] (school social worker), and Ms. [WITNESS #2] (school counselor). Ms. [WITNESS #2] then stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had something that he needed to report what was told to her and Ms. [WITNESS #1]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] made it clear that he wanted to remain anonymous, and I told him that he would.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] proceeded to say that back in November on November 8, 2024; to be exact, he and another male student [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was in the gym talking. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] continues to say that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that he needed to tell him something that he did with a girl at a party. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said it was a video and asked him to see it but [REDACTED BY AGENCY] wouldn’t show the video. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then goes on to say that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] gave him his phone and when he went on Instagram, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] then says that he recorded the incident and had it on his phone since November.

I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] why he was just reporting it, and he stated that around that time he told Ms. [WITNESS #2], being that she was a mandated reporter and left it at that. However, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that because he kept seeing [REDACTED BY AGENCY] around school and socializing with other students he felt the need to say something because it was eating him up on the inside knowing this information. I asked [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was their other kids in the house that he knew of and which he said were about 6-7 kids. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] also mentioned that he knows that the little girl is [REDACTED BY AGENCY] sister because he seen her when him and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] use to be on Facetime together and had small talk.

In conclusion, Ms. [WITNESS #1] was typing up a DFACS case to make them aware of the incident. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] did agree to write a statement. I did not get a chance to speak to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was able to air drop the video to me and it will be saved on my flash drive. I was able to get in contact with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] mother Ms. [REDACTED] to make her aware of what’s going on and due to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] being under 17 years old. There are no charges at this time due to the need for further investigation.
