On 5/13/23 approximately 1445hrs I responded to a trouble unknown call at [1100 BLOCK] Fountain Crest DR SE Conyers, Ga

Upon arrival I checked the surrounding areas for signs of other people due to the narrative, but I only seen one car in the driveway which belonged to the homeowner. After ringing the doorbell and knowing on the front door multiple times, I proceeded to check the back door to see if I could get a response from someone inside. After checking the backdoor, I went back to the front door to check to see if it was unlocked, the door was unlocked. My backup arrived as soon as I opened the door and from the front door, I seen that there was a lot of blood, [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. When I looked further into the house, I seen a man shot in the head laying face down still heavily breathing on the living room floor, head was facing the televisions direction.

As Deputy Daley, Cpl. Edmonson and I cleared the house, EMS and the fire department showed up to render aid soon as we finished clearing the house. I began to ask neighbors if they heard or seen anything. The person who was doing the yard across the street said that he saw a white male running towards the back of the house (unknown description of clothing). A friend of the family, Ms. [REDACTED], showed up to the house to see about the subject since she was receiving calls from a family member. Ms. [REDACTED] provided us with the subject’s full name, Mr. [VICTIM #1]. EMS took Mr. [VICTIM #1] to the hospital. It was stated that he was being helped to breathe by EMS.

Yellow tape was placed around the house and the names and time of whoever went inside the house were logged down. Investigators showed up to investigate the scene, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] I was relieved by Deputy Reid and from there he received the logbook to continue keeping the names and times of the Investigators. Crime scene and Investigators were still on scene as I was relieved.

Pictures were taken of the scene, uploaded, and deleted from my phone. Pictures were also emailed to Investigator M. Hunter and sent via phone to Investigator G. Levett.
