November 6, 2024:
I met [VICTIM #1] in the front lobby of the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office (911 Chambers Dr NW) where he wished to document fraudulent checks that were forged with his Georgia’s Own Credit Union account information.
Mr. [VICTIM #1] explained he had already reported the incident with Georgia’s Own personnel, and showed me copies of the 12 forged checks in question. All of the checks were dated for October 29, 2024 and were made out to “Taniyah Zellner.” He stated that Georgia’s Own personnel told him they had all been deposited into a Wells Fargo account.
Mr. [VICTIM #1] also said that on the same day he discovered the fraudulent charges against his bank account, he could not located his checkbook. He was unsure of when exactly it went missing.
I provided Mr. [VICTIM #1] with a copy of the case number for his personal records.
