On October 5, 2025, at approximately 0635 hours, I, Deputy Jackson #2907, was conducting a business check in Terraces at Fieldstone apartments. While driving through the property I noticed a male, later identified as Mr. Wilfford Norris, on the phone, pacing in the parking lot. I stopped and asked if everything was ok and Mr. Wilfford stated that his wife attacked him. I exited my vehicle to investigate the assault.

Mr. Wilfford stated that his wife, later identified as [VICTIM #1], was upset from finding him with another woman last night. Mr. Wilfford explained that he recorded Ms. [VICTIM #1] attacking him. He also showed me his hand was bleeding. Mr. Wilfford stated that his injury happened to him trying to stop Ms. [VICTIM #1] from attacking him. Mr. Wilfford’s knuckle on his hand was cut and he refused EMS services.

I viewed a recording on his cell phone. The recording shows Mr. Wilfford in bed with Ms. [VICTIM #1]. On the recording, Ms. [VICTIM #1] is cursing Mr. Wilfford to stop recording her because she was naked. Ms. [VICTIM #1] turns the lights off. You can hear a scuffle during that time. Mr. Wilfford then reappears with the camera as he turns on the light, stating for Ms. [VICTIM #1] to hit him while the lights are on. They continued to argue on the recording. Ms. [VICTIM #1] is seen attacking Mr. Wilfford on the recording.

Mr. Wilfford stated that he then went to leave after she threw his phone, and Ms. [VICTIM #1] blocked the door. That is not on the recording. I asked Mr. Wilfford to write a statement while I went to speak with Ms. [VICTIM #1]. During that time, Ms. [VICTIM #1] came outside the apartment and said that Mr. Wilfford had her two cellphones.

I obtained Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s two cellphones and went into the apartment to speak with her. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she caught Mr. Wilfford last night with another woman. She stated that when they returned home, they were arguing. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she took a shower and got into bed naked. During that time, Mr. Wilfford began to record her without her consent. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she did hit Mr. Wilfford after he continued to record her naked.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she also threw the phone so that he wasn’t recording her. I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] did any other altercation happen after she threw his phone. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that Mr. Wilfford pushed her against the wall and pushed her onto the bed. Mr. Wilfford then put his hands around her neck and held her down against the bed. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she thought she would lose consciousness during that time.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she grabbed his hands and scratched him to stop him from choking her on the bed. She stated that was when he grabbed her phones and left the apartment. Ms. [VICTIM #1] then showed me red marks at the base of her neck and on her chest. I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] to write a statement about the incident while I went to speak to Mr. Wilfford outside. She stated that her arm was numb and tingling from the assault but refused EMS services.

I returned outside to speak with Mr. Wilfford during this time. I asked him if any other altercation happened after his recording and he stated that there was none. Mr. Wilfford stated that there were cameras inside the living room to prove nothing else occurred.

[SECTION REDACTED BY AGENCY]

Ms. [VICTIM #1] was informed of her rights as a victim. She was also informed of procedures to obtain a TPO. Ms. [VICTIM #1] expressed that she did not want to press charges against Mr. Wilfford, and that she did not want law enforcement involved.

Based on the physical evidence and statements received from all parties, Mr. Wilfford was determined to be the predominant aggressor. Mr. Wilfford was taken into custody at approximately 0711 hours. He was handcuffed behind his back and searched for contraband before being placed inside my patrol vehicle.

Mr. Wilfford was transported to Rockdale County Jail without incident. Warrants will be filed for Battery (FV), Aggravated Assault- strangulation (FV) for Mr. Willford.

Pictures of injuries will be uploaded to Axon Evidence.
