On Wednesday March 22, 2023 at approximately 1758 hours, I responded to [1100 BLOCK] West Solomon St in non-emergency mode to a report of a death investigation.
Upon my arrival I made contact with EMS [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] who stated that [VICTIM #1] was in his room. I made contact with Adrian Henley who stated that she spoke with [VICTIM #1] on Monday. I made contact with [WITNESS #1] who stated the last time he saw [VICTIM #1] was Thursday last week.
At 1817 hours Deputy Coroner David Jones arrived on scene and went into the residence with EMS. At 1820 hours EMS and the Deputy Coroner came out of the residence. At 1820 hours CSI Chelsea Jones, CID Investigator Jodi Spears, CID investigator Ruiz and Coroner [REDACTED] arrived on scene. At 1821 hours investigators and coroner entered the residence. Coroner [REDACTED] stated that he did not observe any signs of foul play. Coroner [REDACTED] stated that [VICTIM #1] had been deceased for more that two days based on what he observed.
I went into the residence to assist if needed while the investigators were taking photographs and notes. I stood by while investigator took Adrian Henley and [WITNESS #1] to the PD for questioning due to the nature of the incident and what they told the investigators. At 1957 hours Burdens Funeral Home arrived on scene and retrieved [VICTIM #1]’s remains at 2004 Burdens left the scene.
I was asked by investigators to stand by until the house was able to be released. At 2050 hours I was released from the residence and the incident was turned over to CID.
