On Wednesday, July 29, 2026 I, Deputy McVey, responded in emergency mode to [100 BLOCK] Timber Ridge Dr in reference to shots fired.
While enroute to the locations, dispatch advised they still had the caller on an open 911 line. Dispatched advised that the caller heard a female and male arguing, then her gun shots behind fired. Dispatch advised the caller saw one of the subjects get into a vehicle and leave the residence. Dispatch advised that the vehicle was headed towards the exit of the neighborhood. Deputy Holmes (Badge# 215) was arriving into the neighborhood while the vehicle was exiting. Deputy Holmes stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver.
Upon my arrival to the residence, myself, Deputies Hudson (Badge# 223) and Abdallah (Badge# 233) attempted to make contact with the residence. Deputy Hudson knocked for several minutes at the front door with no answer. While knocking on the front door at the porch, I observed approximately nine bullet casings laying near the front door to the residence. I also observed four bullet holes in the chair that were placed next to the front door. I observed two more bullet holes on the railing of the wood porch behind the chair.
I spoke with Lt Strock (Badge# 203) and advised him of the situation. While speaking with Lt Strock, a neighbor made contact with me. The neighbor, a [WITNESS #1] [REDACTED BY AGENCY], who stated he could hear yelling between a female and a male subject coming from the residence. [WITNESS #1] stated he then heard several gun shots and heard a loud bang from a door behind shut. [WITNESS #1] stated he then saw a vehicle driver off towards the exit of the neighborhood.
With the information given from the initial 911 call and from [WITNESS #1]. Lt Strock along with Sgt Dix and Deputy Hudson used force to open the door to check the residence to see if there was anyone was inside and possible injured. While inside the residence they made contact with the female, an Angelica Roman (W/F dob [REDACTED BYAGENCY]) and her children. Angelica stated everyone one was okay and that they were all three asleep in bed. Angelica stated she did not hear any knocking at the door from law enforcement nor did she hear her phone ring while law enforcement was calling her.
While speaking with Angelica, she stated a male friend by the name of “[REDACTED]” (NFI) came over to the residence and brought food. Angelica stated “[REDACTED]” was someone she met on Facebook and had been talking to for several weeks. Angelica was asked about the bullet casings on the front porch and she stated she had shot her gun off the front porch about a week or two ago. Angelica stated she owned a Taurus 9mm hand gun.
At this time, I contacted on call CID and spoke with Lt Hammond by phone and advised him of the incident. Lt Hammond advised he was enroute. Lt Hammond arrived on scene and I turned the scene over to him.
Deputy Holmes advised she will be doing a supplemental report on her encounter with the vehicle that left the location.
