On April 04, 2026 at 02:24hrs I, Deputy Ray responded to [600 BLOCK] Tri County Road in non emergency mode in reference to a domestic dispute.

Upon my arrival I activated my body camera before speaking to the complainant ([VICTIM #1] W/F) and she advised that her daughter (Ashley Gresham W/F) had been drinking alcohol and was being very beligerent and confrontational.

She advised that her daughter keeps coming into her bedroom and screaming at her. She also advised that she had thrown things around the house.

I then made contact with Ms. Gresham who appeared to be heavily intoxicated. Ms. Gresham was also carrying her child and fell down when she tried to exit her door. The child was not hurt at the time but did bump his head as a result of the fall. Ms. Gresham was able to stand up and walked back inside with the child.

Ms. Gresham advised that she was going to get her children ([REDACTED] W/M and [REDACTED]) and go to her bedroom and lock the door.

The complainant, Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that things would be ok if she would just go to sleep but Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that her daughter was not going to stop coming into her room.

She also advised that her daughter had thrown things in the resident and possibly broke some of her property. The resident was checked and no property damage was observed.

Ms. Ashley Gresham was advised to go to bed and leave her mother alone.

At this time it appeared Ms. Ashley was going to calm down and go to bed. I advised the complainant that if she started again harassing her for her to call 911.

Before leaving the scene I was sitting in my patrol vehicle and could hear a verbal argument and what sounded like things being thrown. The complainant, Ms. [VICTIM #1] came outside and asked for help and stated that her daughter had hit her and pushed her. She also stated that she was throwing things in the kitchen.

I then exited my vehicle and met both subjects at the front door of the residence and attempted to place Ms. Ashley into custody when she began to strugle and actively resist arrest.

Ms. Gresham then tried to pull away from me and continued as she walked down the steps to the ground.

Once on the ground as Ms. Gresham continued to actively resist I assisted her to the ground and attemting to gain compliance as she began to fall down from being intoxicated while also attempting to resist.

At that time SGT. Fuller and Deputy Ruthosky arrived on scene and Deputy Ruthosky used her department issued taser (# X12002Y7Y) to drive stun Ms. Gresham in order to gain compliance and place her into custody with her hands cuffed behind her back.

We then attempted to get Ms. Gresham to the vehicle and place her in the back seat but Ms. Gresham continued to actively resist.

LT. Hutto arrived on scene and was able to help secure Ms. Gresham into the back seat of my patrol vehicle. The car camera was activated at that time. The back seat was checked for contraband prior to and after her exit.

I was then able to speak to Ms. [VICTIM #1], the complainant, and she advised that her daughter came into her room and stomped on her foot leaving a bump and bruises (visible bodily injury) to the top of her right foot.

Ms. Gresham was then transported to Spalding County Detention Center and turned over to Jail staff for processing.

Ms. Gresham is charged with 1 count of Battery under the Georgia Family Violence Act, 1 count of Child Cruelty 3rd degree, 1 count of Disorderly Conduct, and 4 counts of Obstruction to law enforcement.

Warrants for Ms. Gresham will be obtained ASAP.
