On 07/24/2026 at approximately 1619 hours I, Deputy C. Jones (222) responded in non emergency mode to [100 BLOCK] Peachtree St located within Spalding County to an assist EMS call.
When I arrived I spoke with [VICTIM #1] (W/M ) who stated that his brother, Martin, Charles (W/M ) locked himself in the room of [VICTIM #1] and then told Charles to open his door. When Charles opened the door, [VICTIM #1] saw that his CD’s had been thrown on the floor. [VICTIM #1] tried to push Charles out of his room since he was causing disarray with his property.
When [VICTIM #1] attempted to get Charles out of his room, Charles grabbed a blunt object and struck [VICTIM #1] on the left side of his head. This caused a laceration which resulted in significant bleeding. I was able to photograph the injury prior to EMS arrival. [VICTIM #1] did not know exactly what he was hit with but it is believed Charles took it with him when he fled the scene which he did prior to my arrival.
I searched the area for approximately 45 minutes attempting to locate Charles but I was unsuccessful. I put out a BOLO for Charles with his long known description and direction of travel. I will be taking out a warrant for family violence aggravated assault on Charles.
Warrant number 26-EW-004302 was signed by Judge MacDowell for Aggravated Assault (OCGA 16-5-21).
