On January 23, 2026, I Dep King got out with a suspicious vehicle located at [300 BLOCK] Tilney Ave.
I Dep King was patrolling the area of E College St and S Hill St in my fully marked patrol vehicle. While doing so I observed a Kia Soul ([REDACTED]/GA) quickly cross the road, from what appeared to be the parking lot of Walgreens located at this intersection. I found this to be odd due to the time of night, approximately 0300 hours, and the business being closed. I then continued to follow the vehicle down Tilney Ave. As Im following the vehicle It quickly turned into a driveway and cut its lights off. After doing this I continued down Tilney Ave, and turned into a parking lot of a nearby church. I then turned around to face Tilney and observed the vehicle back out of this driveway, turn its lights on then drive away.
Let it be noted that I ran the license plate of the Kia Soul and observed that the vehicle’s registered owner lives off of Holly Grove Dr, not Tilney Ave.
Once the vehicle quickly left this driveway, I again, followed it. I eventually lost sight of the vehicle as it made more random right and left turns that appeared to be without direction.
After losing sight of the vehicle I stayed in the area to see if I could locate the vehicle again. After a short period of time I located it at a stop sign located at Tilney Ave and Bieze St. I immediately turned around to get behind the vehicle, but as soon as I made this maneuver the driver made a quick left turn down Daniel St. I followed it onto Daniel St where I observed the vehicle had turned into another random driveway and turn its lights off.
Through my knowledge, training, and experience, I know that people whom are involved in criminal activities while driving typically attempt to evade or avoid interaction with law enforcement by turning into driveways to residences to which they dont belong, believing that we would not make contact with them.
Due to these behaviors displayed by the driver, I believed criminal activity to be afoot. Therefore I parked on the side of Daniel St and went to make contact with the driver of the Kia Soul.
Upon making contact with the driver, later ID’d as Ms Christina Trice, I observed that she leaned the seat back, to appear asleep. I then knocked on the passenger side window. Once I knocked Ms Trice appeared to be surprised by my presence, and almost immediately exited the vehicle without being asked.
Again, through my knowledge, training, and experience, I know that when a person exits a vehicle without reason it is a tactic to separate themselves from any contraband inside of the vehicle.
I then asked Ms Trice why she was avoiding me, to which she responded that she never noticed me. I knew this to be false. Ms Trice advised that she did not know who’s driveway she pulled into, and that she was attempting to locate her Uncle’s house on “B Street”. During this interaction with her I could tell that she was visibly nervous and was physically shaking. I then asked if she would stand in front of my patrol vehicle, and she did.
Once in front of my vehicle I asked Ms Trice if she would consent to me searching the vehicle. She stated I could search the vehicle, advising that it was her boyfriends uncles car, and didn’t have anything in there. She stood by with Dep Manns while I searched the vehicle.
I began my search on the passenger side of the vehicle. I then looked underneath the passenger side seat and located a large pill bottle. The pill bottle contained white in color, oval shaped pills with the imprint “A 469” on it. This pill bottle also lacked any sort of labeling on it.
I continued the search and did not locate any other contraband.
I then returned to my patrol vehicle where I Identified these pills via drugs.com. The pills were Gabapentin, a non controlled substance. I then verified that Gabapentin is labeled in OCGA as a “Dangerous Drug” and cannot be possessed without a prescription.
After finding this information out, I placed Ms Trice into handcuffs. She was handcuffed to the rear, double locked then checked for fit.
Ms Trice stated that she was unaware of the pills in the vehicle, and that they were not hers.
She was then placed in the backseat of my patrol vehicle then transported to Spalding Detention where she was released to jail staff.
There were 78 Gabapentin pills in total, they were placed into evidence.
Ms Christina Trice (W/F /1983) was arrested for Possession of Dangerous Drugs (WN:26-EW-001398), and Pills not in original container (WN:26-EW-001399).
