On 16 December 2025 at 1500hrs, I, MPO D. Scott, #3998, responded in non-emergency to the address of [1000 BLOCK] W Slaton Ave, which is located within the City of Griffin, Spalding County GA, in response to Domestic Already Occurred.

Upon my arrival, I met with the complainant, later identified as Mrs. [VICTIM #1]. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] advised that she was assaulted the previous evening by her husband, identified as Mr. Glenn Walker. She added that this has happened before, however, that this time he’d gone too far. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] stated, “He said he was going to kill me. I believe if I don’t report him he’s actually going to do it.”

Mrs. [VICTIM #1] had multiple bruise marks on her face, in the front, on her forehead area, under the chin, and what appeared like hand marks around the left and right side of her neck/throat. In addition to these markings she still had the same clothing on her, which was covered with blood from the approximate midsection downward.

Ptl. Ofc. T. Weldon, #4072 arrived on scene as Shift-CSI to take pictures of Mrs. [VICTIM #1] and a clear, visible blood trail from the living room into the kitchen. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] sustained cuts and bruises also along the inside of her arm and fingers.

Once Ofc. Weldon completed taking all pictures needed for this report, Mrs. [VICTIM #1] was given the case # to this report. She was advised that warrants were going to filed against Mr. Walker for Battery Family Violence at the very least. She was encouraged to leave the house and contact 911, should Mr. Walker return to the residence. Mrs. [VICTIM #1] acknowledged that she understood and both Ofc. Weldon and I resumed our patrol duties.

As I arrived to the Police Department to obtain the warrants against Mr. Walker, I was informed that Mr. Walker had returned to the residence.

I immediately returned to the scene and updated dispatch. Ofc. Weldon also arrived on scene to provide back-up. After knocking on the front door, Mr. Walker opened the door. I introduced myself and asked if we could speak outside for a moment.

Mr. Walker agreed to speak and proceeded to come outside. When asked if he would care to share what transpired between him and Mrs. [VICTIM #1] the evening before, Mr. Walker stated that while there was a verbal disagreement that, “did get out of hand a little.” After confirming that he did “push” his wife, Mr. Walker was advised that he was being placed under arrest for Battery, Family Violence. After searching Mr. Walker’s pockets for any weapons, he was handcuffed behind his back, handfuffs checked for fit, and walked over to my patrol unit.

Prior to Mr. Walker entering my patrol unit I read him his Miranda Rights which he confirmed he understood and waived. When asked how Mrs. [VICTIM #1] obtained the bruises/marks around her neck/throat he stated, “things got a little out of control and I may have grabbed her around the throat while there was some pushing going on.” I commended Mr. Walker for his honesty at which point he became emotional and stated that he needed help.

I proceeded to assist Mr. Walker into my patrol unit and advised dispatch that he was being transported to the Spalding County Jail, where he was processed without further incident.

Warrants were obtained and signed this date for Aggravated Assault, Strangulation (Family Violence); Battery (Family Violence); and 911 Obstruction (Family Violence). These warrants were signed by Judge Sam Parks.

All pictures were logged into the Police Sharedrive by Ofc. Weldon, identified by this case#.

My department issued bodyworn camera was active during this incident until after I read Mr. Walker his rights. Ofc. Weldon’s department issued bodyworn camera remained active during the entire incident.
