On 07/05/2026, around the hours of 1916, I responded in non-emergency mode to [REDACTED], Griffin, Spalding County, GA, in reference to a dispute in progress. My body cam was active during this incident.
Upon arrival, I made contact with a male, Jason Fletcher, who stated he was at this location gathering his personal items. He stated he moved out as of July 1st and was here to retrieve his personal items that he left behind. He arrived around 4 pm, grabbed some items, then advised [VICTIM #1] he would return within 30 mins to retrieve the rest of his items. He returned within the hour to gather his stuff. While inside him and his now ex-roommate, [VICTIM #1], got into a verbal altercation. Jason stated that while he was exiting with some of his items, [VICTIM #1] was standing in the doorway and was not allowing him to exit the door. During the time of his exit, he bumped into [VICTIM #1]. Jason stated that his cousin, [REDACTED], was also on scene to help him gather his stuff.
Ptl. H. Burbrink went inside to speak with the caller, [VICTIM #1].
I was advised by Ptl. H. Burbrink to place Jason Fletcher under arrest.
Warrants will be obtained on next date.
Jason Fletcher was transported to Spalding County Jail, where he is being held for Simple Battery, Simple Battery FVA, Criminal Trespass, and Cruelty to Children 3rd degree.
