On March 31st, 2026, I, Deputy Chandler, responded to a subject armed with a gun at [30 BLOCK] Jim Goodson Road in emergency mode, lights and sirens activated that led to the arrest of one individual.
Upon my arrival, I was advised by dispatch that the subject with the firearm was located in a Toyota RAV4 located in the driveway and had already discharged the firearm twice. Due to the situation, I did forget to collect the tag number for the vehicle. I pulled into the driveway behind the Toyota and positioned my patrol vehicle at an angle, providing me cover from the line of sight of the Toyota. I exited my vehicle immediately. There was a white male standing by the driver-side door, and I advised him to step away from the vehicle.
I drew my county-issued firearm and aimed at the occupant in the driver side seat, shouting commands for the driver to step out of the vehicle with her hands out. Deputy Ray arrived on scene and held the subject at gunpoint as well. As she began to step out of the vehicle, she was hesitant to get out of the vehicle, and due to the knowledge of there being a firearm in the vehicle, I holstered my firearm, and when having a visual on both of the subjects’ hands, I moved in and grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the car.
She was placed in handcuffs behind her back. I double-locked the handcuffs after checking for proper fit. She was asked where the fire arm was and she attempted to pull away to show me and I advised her to tell us where the gun is. She advised, “It’s right there,” gesturing towards her purse sitting in the front seat of the car where she was sitting.
Deputy Ray located the firearm in her purse and cleared the firearm and secured it in his patrol vehicle. During this time, I escorted the female to the rear of my patrol car, where she was secured in the rear seat. The female was later identified as Kenslee Daniel (W/F DOB:/2002). I then went and spoke with the residents of the house and collected their information.
I spoke with [VICTIM #1] (B/M DOB: /2001), who was the owner of the residence, and he advised me that he and three others, including Kenslee, were at the house having a party. The other two attendees were identified as [VICTIM #2] (W/F DOB: /2001) and [VICTIM #3] (W/M DOB: /1998). [VICTIM #1] told me that they were all in the house listening to music and Kenslee was dancing and would periodically pull out her gun and start waving it around the room while she was dancing. [VICTIM #1] asked her along with [VICTIM #2] to put the gun up, and she would for a moment and then would pull it back out again when dancing.
One of the instances where she was asked to stop dancing with the firearm, Kenslee walked outside on the front porch with the firearm in her hand and stood on the top step of the porch and discharged 2 shots straight off of the front porch aimed towards the house across the street. After seeing the video footage and confirming that Kenslee did indeed aim towards the house across the street, Deputy Ray went to attempt contact with the residents and was unable to make contact. [VICTIM #1] advised us that they were not home. No bullet holes were found on the house after examining it.
It made [VICTIM #1] and the others uncomfortable and fearful, and eventually Kenslee was asked to leave altogether by [VICTIM #1], and this is when Kenslee began to verbally attack [VICTIM #2], accusing her of an assortment of past dramas involving her ex-boyfriend and screen shots of [VICTIM #2] talking badly about Kenslee. Kenslee left the house after this and went to the car, where she was sitting in the Toyota.
This is when I arrived on the scene and took her into custody and began my investigation. This entire incident was recorded on [VICTIM #1]’s Ring camera system. It captured Kenslee firing the gunshots and Kenslee dancing around in the house with the gun where everyone at the party asked for her to stop and to put the gun down.
I obtained copies of these videos to be attached to this report as evidence. Located by the door were two spent 9mm shell casings from Kenslee discharging the firearm. I collected these shell casings as evidence. Deputy Ray turned the fire arm over to me so that I could also place the fire arm into evidence. The firearm was a Ruger EC9s 9mm handgun with serial number 46314647. The gun was run through dispatch to check for any stolen records on the firearm, and none were found.
After collecting all the evidence and securing it in my patrol vehicle. I provided [VICTIM #1] with a case card with his case number and explained to him how to get a copy of the report.
Kenslee was seatbelted in and transported to the Spalding County Detention Center, where she, along with her belongings other than her firearm, was turned over to the detention deputies without further incident. I then placed the firearm along with the magazine, 4 bullets, and the 2 spent shell casings into evidence.
I spoke with a magistrate judge in regard to warrants:

What this means: On April 2, 2026, Kenslee Ladin Daniel appeared before Judge Adam Grubbs of the Magistrate Court of Spalding County for a first appearance hearing — the initial court proceeding after an arrest where a judge reviews the charges and sets bond. The hearing was held at 9:17 AM and was presided over by Judge Adam Grubbs, with Deputy Ethan M. Chandler listed as the arresting officer. The court determined that Kenslee Ladin Daniel would be committed to answer to the State Court of Spalding County (rather than Superior Court) on the following charges under case number 2026-01855: disorderly conduct involving property, discharge of a weapon near a street, discharge of a weapon while under the influence, discharge of a weapon on the property of another, reckless conduct, and three counts of simple assault (causing fear). Bond was set at $3,500.00 on each of the three simple assault charges. No bond amounts were listed for the remaining charges. Kenslee Ladin Daniel is accused of all of these offenses — no guilt has been determined at this stage.
