On 02/09/2026 at approximately 1726 I, Ptl Moore was dispatched to W Poplar St/ S 9th St in reference to a Hit and Run.
When I arrived on scene, I made contact with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated he was at the traffic light when he noticed a male [VICTIM #1] on a moped and a White jeep cherokee behind him. [WITNESS #1] stated the vehicle was blowing their horn and rear ended [VICTIM #1] knocking [VICTIM #1] off his moped and go around [VICTIM #1] nearly collided into his vehicle.
[VICTIM #1] stated the vehicle begin laying on their horn from College St to W Poplar St/S 9th St. [VICTIM #1] stated the vehicle attempt to go around him and it startled him causing him to stop and the vehicle rear ended him, bending his license plate. [VICTIM #1] stated when he was rear ended he fell off of his moped it caused damages. I observed scratches to the right lower side of the moped and right side mirror damage. [VICTIM #1] stated he was really shaken up by the incident.
[WITNESS #1] presented a video he took of the incident and he was able to get the license plate. (Tag: [REDACTED]) vehicle registered to a Crupi, Lorraine and resides at [500 BLOCK] Powell Ave Griffin, Ga 30224. I conducted a follow up at the residence and Crupi inquired “if my presence had anything to do with a bike or moped” I advised Crupi before I ask any question I will read her Miranda warning. After I read miranda Crupi stated she would not like to speak to me without her lawyer present. I advised Crupi at that time she will be arrested and I will not ask her any further questions.
Crupi was handcuffed behind her back; handcuffs were double locked. Crupi was transported the Spalding County Jail without incident. I placed a hold on Crupi at the jail due to pending charges. My patrol unit was searched before and after transport.
Warrants will be obtained.
