On 12/08/2025, at approximately 2217 hours, while still on scene at [400 BLOCK] Morris Street for a separate incident, I, Ptl. S. Kendrick #4131, heard over the radio that a gunshot victim had arrived at Spalding Regional Wellstar, located at 601 S. 8th Street, Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia. MPO Davenport advised over the radio that the victim had been transported to the hospital by a personal vehicle. I responded in a non-emergency mode to that location. I activated my departmentally issued body-worn recording device to capture the incident.

Upon arrival, multiple officers were already on scene. I made contact with Investigator Amos, who was speaking with the victim.

The victim was identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY]). [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he was “behind Kroger” when he sustained a gunshot wound to his left foot. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] refused to provide any additional information regarding the incident and stated he did not wish to talk further.

[REDACTED BY AGENCY] was informed of the option to complete a Lack of Prosecution (LOP) Form. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] chose not to pursue the incident and physically signed the LOP Form on scene, indicating he did not wish for further investigation.
