On February 14th, 2026, at approximately 2300 hours, I responded in a non-emergency mode to 314 E Solomon St (The Garden), located within the City of Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia, to a report of a Fight in Progress.

While enroute, Griffin Dispatch advised via radio that a firearm had been reported to be involved in the fight. I Ofc. Webster then activated my lights and sirens while proceeding to 314 E Solomon St.

Upon my arrival, I Ofc. Webster made contact with a Mr. Marcus Brent Holloway and a Mr. Matthew Brian Holloway. Both Mr. Matthew and Marcus advised that there had been an altercation with another party with whom they had prior unrelated disputes. Mr. Marcus advised that, upon observing Mr. [VICTIM #1], the second half, he advised the bartender, “he needs to leave, or we are going to leave.”

Mr. Marcus then advised that Mr. [VICTIM #1] began “talking sh*t,” which led to an altercation. When asked if any punches were thrown by either parties Mr. Marcus and Mr. Matthew advised that only slight pushing occurred between themselves and [VICTIM #1].

I Ofc. Webster then made contact with other officers on scene who were advised that Mr. [VICTIM #1] was hit by both Matthew and Brent (Marcus Brent Holloway). Mr. [VICTIM #1] was only able to advise that he was struck by multiple punches, some of which connected to his head.

A Witness on scene stated he observed Mr. Marcus and Mr. Matthew jump Mr. [VICTIM #1]. The witness also stated he had to prevent Mr. Matthew from going after Mr. [VICTIM #1] multiple times prior to both Mr. Matthew and Marcus jumping Mr. [VICTIM #1].

No visible injuries were observed on Mr. [VICTIM #1].

I Ofc. Webster placed Mr. Marcus into handcuffs with his hands behind his back, which were double locked and checked for fit. Mr. Matthew was also later placed in handcuffs.

I Ofc. Webster later advised both Mr. Marcus and Matthew that they were under arrest. I Ofc. Webster transported both subjects to the Spalding County Jail, where they were turned over to Jail Personnel.

Warrants were obtained against Mr. Marcus Holloway and Matthew Holloway for the charges of Simple Battery and Disorderly Conduct.

A case number was generated in reference to this incident.
