On 03/162025 at approximately 2255 hours, I Deputy Willetts, responded in non-emergency mode to the address of [1600 BLOCK] Willimson Rd. Griffin, GA in reference to subject causing a disturbance.

Upon arrival, I made contact with a W/M subject sitting in the front yard, who was later identified as Matthew Floyd (W/M dob-/1982). Floyd stated he arrived at said residence to pick up his son to take him to a storm shelter. Floyd stated his father in law identified as [VICTIM #1] (W/M dob-/1975) would not let him inside the house to get to his son. While speaking with Floyd, there was a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath, he was sweating real heavy in addition and stated he was drinking earlier at the bar. Floyd was asked how he got to the location, Floyd stated [VICTIM #1] picked him and brought him here.

At this point I made contact with [VICTIM #1], [VICTIM #1] stated he picked Floyd up from the bar and brought him back to the residence, because Floyd and [REDACTED] (W/F dob-/1999) were supposed to be staying the night due to the weather. [VICTIM #1] stated he told Floyd he could not go wake up his son and take him anywhere because he had been drinking, Floyd became irate and began yelling and cursing and causing a scene. [VICTIM #1] stated Floyd tried to storm into the house and began knocking stuff over. [VICTIM #1] stated he went to grab Floyd and get him to go to the camper and sleep it off, and Floyd tried to fight him off so they called 911. [VICTIM #1] stated he just wanted Floyd to calm down, sober up, and sleep it off but he would not calm down.

While speaking with Floyd in reference to what took place prior to arrival, Floyd became irate and began yelling, cursing and would not listen when advised to lower his voice. Due to Floyd being belligerent and not being compliant, Floyd was placed in handcuffs and advised he was under arrest for Disorderly conduct. Floyd was placed in handcuffs which were checked for proper fit double locked and secured. Floyd was searched and then placed in the back seat of Deputy Reeves patrol vehicle. Floyd was transported to Spalding County Detention Center were he was turned over to Jail staff.

On 03/17/2025 at approximately 0930 hours, Magistrate Judge Grubbs signed warrant# (25-EW-002055) for Matthew Floyd (W/M dob-/1982) for Disorderly Conduct.
