On 01/17/2026 at approximately 13:08 hours, I Deputy Willetts,responded in a non emergency mode to the address of [100 BLOCK] Moose lodge rd griffin 30224 lot [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic dispute already occurred.
Upon arrival, I made contact with [VICTIM #1] (B/M /2007). [VICTIM #1] stated his brother Quetin Jones (B/M DOB /2003) and his father [VICTIM #2] (B/M /1983) got into a verbal dispute. [VICTIM #1] stated during the verbal dispute he got in between his brother and dad at which time [VICTIM #2] walked away. [VICTIM #1] stated when he went to walk away Quetin grabbed him from behind and put him in a choke hold,while being choked [VICTIM #1] stated he couldn’t breath and passed out for a moment. [VICTIM #1] stated his brother [WITNESS #1] (B/M /2005) pulled Quetin off of him. [VICTIM #1] had visible marks around his neck in addition to having scratch marks on his face and chest from where he was trying to pull Quetin off of him before passing out.
[WITNESS #1] stated his father and Quetin, got into a verbal dispute during the dispute Quetin got in his father’s face who is disabled and began to yelling and cussing at him. At that time [VICTIM #1] got between them to defend their father. [WITNESS #1] stated [VICTIM #1] told Quetin to calm down and go outside at which point in time their father walked away. [WITNESS #1] stated [VICTIM #1] was trying to calm Quetin, down by telling him to go outside but Quetin continued to yell and cuss at him. [WITNESS #1] stated Quetin would not calm down so [VICTIM #1] went to walk away from him and Quetin grabbed him from behind by the neck in a chock hold, and began to chock him out. [WITNESS #1] stated when Quetin started chocking [VICTIM #1] he grabbed Quetin and made him let go off [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #2] stated Quetin go upset at him because he would not give him any money. [VICTIM #2] stated Quetin got in his face and was yelling and cussing at him. [VICTIM #2] stated [VICTIM #1] got between them to try and calm Quetin down, but he would not calm down. [VICTIM #2] stated he walked away to give Quetin some space to calm down and when he turned around Quetin had [VICTIM #1] in a chock hold. [VICTIM #2] stated he was unable to help or pull them apart do to him being disabled and not having use of one of his arms. [VICTIM #2] stated [WITNESS #1] pulled Quetin off of [VICTIM #1] and pushed Quetin to get him away from [VICTIM #1].
Quetin stated he got upset with his father and his [VICTIM #1] got between them and he snapped and grabbed [VICTIM #1] out of anger. Quetin stated he grabbed [VICTIM #1] in a head lock and when he did [WITNESS #1] grabbed him and pulled them apart then [WITNESS #1] pushed him. Quetin stated after [WITNESS #1] pushed him [VICTIM #2] called 911.
Quetin was advised he was under arrest for aggravated assault via strangulation( Family Violence). Quetin was searched and then placed in the back seat of my patrol vehicle which was searched before and after he was placed inside. Quetin was unable to be placed in handcuffs due to the size of his wrist to handcuff would not go around his wrist without causing injury.
Quetin was transported to the Spalding County Detention center were he was turned over to jail staff.
On 01/18/2026 Magistrate Judge Grubbs signed Warrant #(26-EW-001339) for Aggravated Assault Via Strangulation(family Violence/Felony).
Pictures of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries were taken with my county issued cell phone, while on scene.
